help with MITSUBISHI FUBUKI TOUR 63x5ct REGULAR FLEX, mini driver

To our seasoned clubmakers, I am trying to build a TM mini driver 14 degree head with a MITSUBISHI FUBUKI TOUR 63x5ct REGULAR FLEX shaft as I did not care for the stock shaft. Final length will be 43 inch, clubhead weighs 217g and grip is 50 gram on the nose. My ss with driver is roughly 96-100 mph with moderate transition. I tend to like shafts in the tweener flex (butt frequency about 250 with driver), and the 63 regular in this shaft a bit too soft and stiff a bit to hard. But I love the feel of this shaft. Anywho I have several of these shafts in regular laying around and want to try in the mini driver. Looking for tipping suggestions. I was thinking I would tip trim 1 inch - 1/2 inch for 3 wood length and 1/2 more to get a flex more to a firm. Thank you in advance for your help.

Standard tipping for a Fubuki is 0" for driver and 3w, and 1/2" for 5 wood, 1" for 7 wood.
Personally I would go straight in and leave an extra 1/2" on the butt in case you want to tip later. Chasing shaft feel thru tipping is a fools errand IMO.

PS I too love the Fubuki Tour. The 73g is my favorite fairway shaft ever. And you can get them new on eBay now for like 90 bucks. I love the march of golf progress.

I think an earlier post here noted that mitsubishi rep stated that tipping to firm up a stated flex could be performed up to 1 and a half inches for the fubuki tours 4 inch tip. As I stated I need to tip the regular as it is to soft at driver length and presumably would be even softer playing at 3 wood length with no tipping. Maybe I will just tip a half inch to be safe but I do need to tighten it up a bit. Has anyone actually tipped a regular fubuki tour and can provide feedback on the result?
