When was the last time your set felt complete?

Picked up a set of TVD wedges this weekend to update my wedges and cover a yardage gap. Now my set feels perfect. I haven't had this feeling since I first got my 681's way back when those were new. As someone who likes to tinker and try out stuff all the time, it's a strange feeling for me. I have full confidence in my set now and any changes at this point would be purely for the sake of looking at something different. Guess I can start working on the perfect backup set now.

A couple of months ago I picked up a Cleveland classic black #6 putter to complete my set, always felt that my old putter just didnt fit well with my set. Now im fairly certain my set up will stay together for the next couple of years.

When I was playing and practicing more then right now I was pretty happy with what I had in the bag. The past month as me wanting to get a set of G25's or the likes as I haven't had the time or drive to bother with golf. Once I get a replacement for my XHP 3w (cracked the face on my beloved) and reshaft up a 2deep I'll be pretty happy again. I'm close, but just not there.

Since Friday when I FINALLY made a decision on my 913Fd shaft....I've been flopping back and forth between a Kai'Li 80x and a Speeder TS VC 8.2X. The Kai'Li is smooth as butter and a bomb!

Now I can just play.......Well until I feel like trying another shaft in my 913h.....HAHAH!

Felt complete on hole 1, not so much after hole 8 after shanking a 5 iron into the water.

When I finnally pull the trigger on a matching set of 54*, 58*, wedges, and drop the cruel 460cc mistress at the top of my bag for good.

But then a fresh set of drivers will come out and I will want one again...

I'm pretty good right now. The only question mark is the 3 wood. We get along fine one round and hate each other the next. The rest of the bag is locked in.

(Until Nike releases a full set of the MMPROTO irons)

My set is always "set" until it's not...I like holding on to clubs and feeling comfortable with them....

Driver: was happy with the TM R7/425/9.5 for 4 years until I got a hold of a R580xd/10.5 this past week...both have 15g lighter shaft than the previous driver, Adams 430q that I liked for 4 years before the 425 that works quite the same but is "easier" to swing when I don't play much...the 425 has a lower trajectory that has its place in the bag, still.

Fairway wood: the TM '08 burner 3 with superfast 49g shaft in senior flex is a real game-changer...long and straight and predictable...it's been ITB for 3 years and will be there for a looooooong time...

Long Hybrid...here's the only club "up in the air"....the 18° fairway/hybrid is replacing the 5 wood this season....the only question is which weight shaft...the Wishon 915F/H with an ultra light shaft like the 3 wood or the (15g heavier) Adams Speeder10 whose heavier shaft is like the one on the shorter Cobra hybrid (that's replacing the 5 iron)...that decision is all about whether I will hit the longer hybrid like a fairway wood or like an iron...it's not a gear issue as much as it is one of swing-mechanics....

Short hybrid...Cobra TWS/Adila DVS is very compatable with my swing....as are irons

Irons...Cobra SS-i irons have been ITB for 5 years now...see no new irons taking their place....even have a back-up set of (other) irons with the same shafts (Penley Graphite Lites) just in case I bust one.

Wedges...Cleveland 588s for 10 years now...though a 900 has slipped in there somehow...

Putter...Nike T100 for 8 years now....though this past year I've been trying a Cleveland Classic blade with that jumbo grip everyone's trying...because that must mean something...

That's about it...I've come to like Aldila NV / NVS / DVS shafts and am lucky to have found a "series" that fits and feels great...we're all set.

...finally...ever lighter bags to put them in so I can walk my 18...

I felt pretty good going in to this season, but have been wanting to try and flight the ball down a bit with my woods.

I just picked up a 8.5 RFE head that I will slip my black tie in to, also grabbed a RFE 4 wood, and have a diamana+82 to throw in it.

I am quite happy with my bag right now.
