Portable Super Stroke gripping station

My buddy who works for Super Stroke just invented this cool portable gripping station that hooks to a bumper hitch. He said it was a big hit at the Reno Open, and just regriped my spider si for me.

The guy works for a grip company and probably has ample need to install grips in any number of parking lots. Needed? Absolutely. Necessity, it is said, is the mother of invention. Shoot, I've never had cause to regrip in a parking lot, and I'm trying to figure out if I need one of these.

Seriously Zach, props to your friend. Like jdweaver said, that's pretty slick! Maybe have him fabricate a bike carrier to attach to the vise? Might make it an easier sell to people trying to justify getting one if they can use it more than once a year.

If you turn the vice 90*, you can just clamp the bike in... Then bungee cord tie it to your roof rack!

Cool use for an old trick Zack... I wonder if he saw this on the back of a Pipe Fitting/Plumbing/Mechanical Truck...

In an old life, we used to use Vices attached to bumpers or hitches to hold the ends of the Steel we were threading for putting together sprinklers, gas, medical systems....

That's a Pipe Fitters standard gear.

Just needs to catch the grip solvent in a tray to reuse. Is a great idea, should be a hit at small tournaments. Also a great idea for the do it your selfer. It would need to have a cost point for affordability. Also make it able to be adjusted to work in a home setting.

This is a very clever way to get people to use your grips, especially if he is going to small or even big tournaments. Could have someone on the hook for one of these grips and have them say "but we have no way of changing the grip now"...but boom, now you do and they can try it right away.

That's what I was thinking and especially for putter grips, which he sells. No one is likely to change grips on their irons on a whim...but after a bad putting day, it shouldn't be too hard for someone to try out the superstroke.

I have one of those on my service truck.( I'm a contractor) it's not as slick looking as that one, but does the job. Pretty handy for clamping a chainsaw bar to sharpen, clamp pipes and such. I mean it's a vice. It's good for holding stuff. I guess you can add golf clubs to that list as well. Pretty cool

This is genius. Awesome job by your buddy Zach! This would be awesome if couple with a portable work bench and a tent. Could definitely do a lot for a tournament that doesn't have a tour van to do grips and other work for players.
