The new puma pants are a little too trendy for my taste... They have the cut of jeans...no thanks

Golf clothes are so expensive I rarely see anyone buy them for full price. $75 for pants $70 for shirts who pays that. I myself wait for sales or Ross or Marshall or lately not even worry about name brand anymore. I dress nice believe me but it doesn't take 300 get up to do that (including shoes)

tgw.com always has good sales. You obviously have to know your size though and like shafts, there is no standard across manufacturers.

I never pay "regular" price for any of my golf apparel. When I was living in Nova Scotia, I would never buy anything because on top of spending $75+ for polos, or $100+ for pants and even some shorts we added 15% tax on top of it. I did most of my apparel shopping when visiting outlets in NH and ME. Now that we have moved to SLC, we have a few outlet malls just a short drive away, and I love Izod shorts and pants. Picked up 3 pairs of shorts the other day for $15 each. Didn't pick up any pants, but they were buy one get two free, and again as mentioned signing up for rewards and shopping at other stores usually give you coupons, so I saved on top of that. Hard to beat for quality clothing.

http://www.rockbottomgolf.com is a great place to check. They had a 20% off apparel sale a couple of weeks ago, I picked up some Addidas climacool shirts, Callaway, and Ashworth shirts, all under $20 with the discount. They don't always have all sized and colors, I wear a standard XL, but I am pretty happy with what I got from them....just need to check in every so often...

I used to go to Golf Galaxy that was close to where I used to live, and pick up stuff late in the year when they had their big sales, but there are none close by to where I live now.

Here's what I'm taking away from this.

Golf clothing companies roll out lines for spring and fall. We accept that.
We also accept that if you wait a bit you can get all of it marked down.
We're ok with not having the very latest golf shirt from <xxx>.

Try any of that in the equipment section, and oh, the carnage.

I've really started to like ashworth shirts lately. Really high quality, wick moisture well and have a dressy style which makes them more appropriate for my work. I've gotten tons of compliments from the ladies at work and most have been around $20 from the ashworth outlet when they have a sale. They also have good prices at tgw and budget golf.
I usually can find good nike and adidas with the occasional under armour shirt for less than $25 at the clearance racks of academy or dicks and sometimes golfsmith.
Dillards had a sale on all of their clothing a couple of weeks ago and I got 3 UA shirts 3 UA shorts, a nike shirt for 17.99 each. The callaway shirts were 14$. There are tons of deals out there to be had on short sleeve shirts if you look hard and wait for good sales.

I do seem to have a harder time finding a good deal on pants.

With all the different cuts and fits on shirts these days how does anyone manage to buy correctly online?

Either way clothing in NA is already as cheap as hell compared to most other western nations. Imagine paying the equivalent of $200+ for a nice shirt.

Nike Clearance, Ross/Marshalls/TJ Max, and Uniqlo are my usual spots. I'm not adverse to picking up stuff online if I catch a good sale, either. The only golf specific clothing/accessories that I don't buy heavily discounted are my Titleist/Nike hats

One tip that I picked up is to compare the exact measurements of the item you're interested online with the measurements of a shirt/pants/etc... that you currently own (most major brands have them listed somewhere). I've had reasonable success finding items that fit this way

I tend to stick to one or two brands that are usually cut the same. I have had great luck with Nike and FJ. I am not a fan of the less expensive Nike shirts due to the materials and lack of consistent cuts. The mid-higher price shirts have never given me any issues. The TW line is the best technical shirt out there in my opinion. I usually don't buy pants online unless I have another pair just like them. I can handle a shirt that is slightly too tight or too loose but pants that don't fit right are awful. I have great success with Budgetgolf.com when shopping online.

I shop at a lot of the same places above and purchased items from the Nike Clearance store for the first time last night. As recommended by Lesmond, they had Nike Hyperadapt Storm Fit jackets on sale for $40. The same jacket is still on Nike's Website for $240. Can't beat that deal.

I'd also recommend GPP Golfs Bargain Bunker. I've picked up about a dozen Travis Mathew Polos for $20/ea from them.

Yeah, I thought the Nike clearance store was the same as the nike outlet stores but they're not. Either my luck is really horrible at the outlets or the clearance store just gets more stuff. It's always worth a visit if you're in the area and you have time. That's why I love dropping off or picking up my wife at the oakland airport. I can either check out what they have in the store (10 min away) or go practice/play a round at metro (5 min) or chuck corica (15 min)
