My last and only TM purchase was a set of Tour Burner irons. I was just graduating high school and bought myself the set out of the shop I was working in. Have not bought anything TaylorMade since that day. Played less than once full season with them, sold them to a member at my club for about half of what I bought them for. The lofts and lie angles throughout the set were inconsistent and nowhere close to the stated/spec'd numbers. Had the shafts frequency matched and they were again all over the place. I've never looked back to anything TaylorMade.

FWIW - my vote was "Heck No". Their quality control for their retail offerings is horrendous in my opinion, and I like many others cannot stand the constant releases of product and the flooding the market business model. It is proving to be a very poor way to do business, with them closing up Adams corporate headquarters and the recent Dick's Sporting Goods cuts.

EDIT: Been voting with my wallet since 2009. I've played PING and NIKE equipment and am very happy with both their quality control, customer service, and product release cycles.

While I will no longer be shopping at Dick's due to their debacle with the Class A's and a good friend and Pro being let go, I don't have that emotional tie to Adams. While I bagged the 9064LS & still rotate the 9015LD and the Pro Golds(3i-PW) were the first non Mizzy irons to see my bag in 23+ years, along with currently bagging their Ti FM and hybrid, I just hope that TMaG keeps em in the line-up.

Regarding TMaG, I rotate their RBZ TI & Stage 2 TI drivers .

While the actions taking place with Adams are indeed unfortunate, it is the normal path of an acquired company.

I'm surprised that they went this long basically untouched.

Regarding TMaG's non-stop product releases, and this is just me, though who cares?

Just don't buy it, lol.

To the best of my knowledge, TMaG's constant product roll-outs have had zero effect on me, my health or my game.

At least no where near as much as the cancer and stroke

I've never owned a Taylormade product and don't see any purchases in my future.... Other oems just appeal to me more. I won't let this business decision affect whether I buy there stuff or not.

You sir are entirely correct, it's no different for a person than a company...

I think we all view a company making decisions that effects potentially hundreds of other businesses in a little different light..

But I did say that it was perfectly ok and acceptable for them to behave that way...

We don't all endorse individual behavior of that nature either...

The gentlemen put the inserts in for me and didn't charge me for em... I was walking around... The wife paid... She had no idea what the total was..

Store closes... Had to wait a weekend and go back on Monday to pay for em...

Jeff.... We don't all encourage the behavior... Nor engage in it...

Society tolerates unethical behavior... It doesn't mean we have to reward it

I went heck no, but not because of Adams, which is certainly unfortunate. I went heck no because every driver, every one (5 or so), I've had has caved in one way or another. I do still rotate out an old TI '08 T4 hybrid because it's the only piece of TM gear that hasn't broken on me. I never buy retail so I can't exactly return them. I've just lost patience and confidence in their equipment.

Look, I know that in this day and age, everyone has to make a good product or nobody will buy it (for long) and they go out of business. There isn't an OEM that exists right now that actually makes pure garbage but I can't ignore the failure rate on their drivers. Bottom line, as someone said earlier, if if works for your game, then it's sweet. They haven't made a driver that won't brake on me so I stopped using them. Definition of insanity and all. So there you have it. Heck no.

Adams is a subsidiary. This is a business world, and that's how it works. People and companies get bought, sold, moved, etc. all the time.

I do my best to try most products that interest me for whatever reason. I honestly couldn't care what's on the bottom, or on the top for that matter. Show me numbers, show me significant improvement, and I'm sold.
