Scotty Cameron Studio Style

I have many Cameron putters, CT's, OTR's and others and I really dont think this putter is as bad as people are saying. I believe the reason he used an insert was to make a putter with the feel of GSS without paying $5,000 + for a putter. Honestly if you are hitting the sweet spot most of the time, this putter feels as good as any of my 009's or CT's. I can see not liking it because of how it looks but I think the GSS has a really soft yet responsive feel to it. JAT

I agree with what you are saying about the sweet spot. It isn't as forgiving as say the older non insert stainless studio styles. I'll also add I really like the head design on the current NP2's compared to the older PP and GB NP2's. It's more refined and a little more boxier. I also wish Scotty made a centershaft model that didn't cost 500+.

All comes down to personal preference. I prefer carbon steel Camerons, especially pre-2000.

I have to agree about the grip though. I've never liked thin grips.

I have my fair share of Cameron's, including Studio Design and a few Pro Platinums, but this one has just been the best for me. Guess I'm just weird. Hopefully some people that use the Studio Style will chime in and give their reasons for using it.

 

 

 

 

 

I agree. The studio style is a wonderful club to me, and it probably wont be going out of my bag for a while.

The grip thing I second. The Studio Design grip is way too small IMO. I just put a nice blue midsize Iomic grip on there last nite, and I've found the woman, er putter, I want to spend the rest of my life with! haha, okay, not that much, but a new grip makes a world of a difference

Love the feel of my Studio Style, the insert makes the putter feels soft. Used to be my most frequent gamer before i have slighter tacoma and byron 006, now it'll be a bench warmer.
