Better. As you go back (even in practice swing) make sure your left side is lower than right. Than as you go through left side higher than right. You can also both speed up the arms ( separate of the body ) and vertically re hinge the club on the way through. This will give you the speed/ power.

Ok, took a thought and simple bit of thinking to the range today instead of hammering swings in.

I put an old glove under my left armpit with the thought to just make a lateral move then get the glove to fall out at about the same time with the arms moving more down the line.

Looks slightly better on the DTL view, distance and ball flights improved.

Ok not perfect but feels like I have so much more time and less reliant on speed. And i wonder if this is why Justin Rose says he feels like he is rolling the left arm down his chest in his downswing?

[size=4]A scaled down version of that would come in handy for a semi lob shot around the green with a 60 degree.... Your club face is facing the sky after impact, which is good for certain specialty shots. It is not a receipt for a simple and powerful stroke though...

[size=4]In one of the videos before this one you practically stop the upper body and swing the arms and club only through the ball. That is a typical compensation and what it does is close the club face so you get the ball started in the right direction. If you had a stronger grip to begin with, the face would be 10-30 degrees more closed before the release and you would literally be forced to step on the gas pedal through the ball to avoid a snap hook.

Homer Kelley, the author of TGM wrote that a golfer should always address first issue first. Because it is impossible to tell whether later issues are compensations to earlier issues or true faults. The first issue I see in your swing is the grip. You seem to be aspiring towards a connected swing where the pivot is very active through the ball. For about 99% of golfers that requires a strong to very strong grip.

Grip faults is perhaps the most frequently ignored problem at this forum. The only exception seems to be the slicefixer thread. Everybody who has met slicefixer knows how picky he is about having a proper grip. And he has good reason to be so. The grip has an almost dictatorial relationship with how you can successfully swing the club. T[/size]he grip you are using is weak. It forces you to have a high club head closing ration towards impact. And that is in conflict with everything else you try to achieve.

This is bang on about the grip, lefthook.

I realised this a while back and fixed my grip. It was what I had been looking for. Gives you the control and feel you need in the golf swing.

Your grip is the only connection you have with the club and yet it's so underlooked.

Stronger left hand and more of a knife grip with right hand. That's what I use.

Still not enough secondary tilt, because not enough shift/hip bump. Therefore still too rotary and you lose the lag.

Grip isn't that bad. Check this here out...

 

If you bend your right wrist enough, your left hand will be flat/bowed pre impact. With stronger grip ball might go left.

nice, swing much better than mine but I still score ok at times, weird camera angle and you still follow the club head back with your eyes!!

The grip looks pretty good. And how you move through the ball is much better too. But having as much secondary tilt as here will invite you to sweep through the ball. Perfect for the driver, but perhaps too much with a short iron / wedge. It seems like your divot bottoms out almost under the ball. If you can move the bottom of your divot forward you will get a more penetrating ball flight. A reverse K address (straight line through left shoulder, left hip, left foot) will set you up for a more ascending impact and forward turf.
