My thoughts: University of Michigan Course shouldn't be on there because I don't consider it public. Belvedere is way too high and the Signature is not a top 15.

Yeah.

My thoughts:
- You'll never convince me that Arcadia is the best public golf course in the state.
- The Gailes does not belong on the list. Something like the Tribute, The Heather, or Harbor Shores (haven't played it, but by reputation) would be much better choices.
- Bay Harbor should be way higher

Agreed on Arcadia. I have yet to play Greywalls, but I can say that Forest Dunes is better for sure.

I really like Arcadia, Forest Dunes and Black Lake. Of the three, Black Lake is my favorite. I'm not saying it's the best, I just have played it the most because my dad has a cottage nearby and I have a lot of good memories of that place. It's almost always dead, which is nice. You can actually finish 18 holes in a reasonable amount of time.

Another 'up north' course I really like is Cedar River at Shanty Creek. I think it's pretty underrated.

Agreed U of M being on that course is misleading. Maybe because they had a thing where you can pay $110, or $200 for a combo Blue/Radrick thing without any affiliation. While I like U of M quite a lot, I'm not sure $110 is a good number.....

BTW, for those of you in the area, I saw an email from Eagle Eye that they will open Friday.

Well, OW must have wielded his influence in the voting. The Wanamaker course at PGA Village made Florida's top 30 *twice.* My least favorite of the three there, and it makes it twice!

Curious whether they meant to put Ryder or Dye in there...

Not sure I'd put the U of M course in there. Not #8 anyway. It's good, not great IMO. As I recently told Bluefan, I wouldn't drive 2 hours to play it. But forest dunes? I'd drive 4.

My golf shaft dilemma may be fixed. Just bought a Bio Cell with a Diamana D+ 72x. Got it for super cheap so even if the shaft is to much for me I should be able to about break even.

I don't love Harbor Shores, but MAN does it get shafted in these rankings!

We took a golf trip up 2 years ago and my two buddies both liked Harbor Shores BETTER than Point O Woods, Kingsley, and Forest Dunes. They only had Arcadia ranked higher. I told them they were nuts. I had Kinglsey #1, Forest Dunes and Arcadia T2, Harbor Shores 3, then Point O Woods 4.
For What its worth, I had Dunes Club above them all!

You have him try the 14* bounce wedge? Playing down there on courses that aren't overseeded is not a true reflection of your chipping ability.

Duh. This is WRX, it is always the equipment's fault. As far as the driver goes, I would bet it is only a few billy blocks away from the BST.
