I just thoughts i woulds warn some who were looking to buy these for golf or exercises. I gots a bad ears infection because there is no real air flows. It has been two weeks abouts now and it has nots been all that appreciated. I do know somebody who uses them ands never hads that issue , but i am forced to look back for wireless in ear things.

If anyone is looking for wireless headphone recs, the Plantronics BackBeat Go 2 are excellent. I enjoy using mine while running/at the gym/occassionally at the range/putting green. Sound quality is good, esp. at the price point, and they do a decent job with noise cancellation.

The Jaybird Bluebud X are the undisputed champ of wireless headphones, but I have never personally used them

Maybe i'm crazy, but why would anyone want to buy the Wireless studio headphones for exercise or golf? They are kind of big and bulky and seem to be only best used when in an air conditioned environment due to their size.

Also, wouldn't wearing these during golf or exercise result in some amount of sweating and therefore make them extremely uncomfortable to wear?

All that being said, sorry to hear about your ear infection.

You're going to be MUCH more likely to get an infection with in-ear headphones than with over the ear cans. I used to get ear infections all the time and I would be surprised if "lack of airflow" was even a cause...more commonly they are caused when you get a small scrape/cut in your ear and water/etc. gets in.

I thinks i will listen to my doctor as to why. The sweat has nowhere to go ands collects inside the ear. As to the guy who asked why , they are nots bulky ands fit ands stay on well. I was giving a warning , nots trying to debate wrx medical expertise.

Look at all the pro athletes, specifically football players, that use them during warmups. Even ones who are taking FINES now that the NFL has a deal with Bose, just so they can keep wearing them. There are certain beats designed for athletic wear, and fit/snugness/sound quality are what those guys look for. They don't care about a little bit of sweat, but then again, they sweat for a living. I am willing to bet the OP doesn't

I am willing to bet a + Handicap like Sammy beats balls on the range until she sweats. A Tournment Winner none the less... A highly accomplished, successful Golfer.

The Young Lady got an ear infection from using a product that does trap moisture, some people more be more or less succeptable to infections due to different conditions or environments. Her intent was to share her experience, not decide what's best for other people.

I am willing to wager her DOCTOR knows what's best for her.... Just like I am willing to bet you don't.

Perhaps you misunderstood me...I wasn't saying anything at all about her doctor or her health/ear infection whatsoever. I was merely trying to respond to Barto. He said he couldn't fathom why people would buy Beats for exercise purposes, and I was trying to use pro athletes as a counter example that many people prefer that style of headphone for exercising, even people whose job it is sweat (aka exercise/play a sport) everyday for a paycheck.

I do not know know what the OP does for a living. Perhaps she is a pro athlete. But I have no doubt the OP experienced problems with her headphones/ears. My point was merely: if people who work up a sweat on a daily basis in order to earn a living prefer to wear those headphones, I would think it should be "fathomable" (sorry Barto) that people would want to wear them for that type of activity. Clearly the OP does not, because for her personally it caused problems. But that wasn't my point. I certainly wasn't trying to doubt her or her doctor in anyway, so I apologize if I chose my words poorly

Really? These athletes are wearing them pregame for a suitcase full of cash and publicity... Don't kid yourself!

At least a couple people in this thread know how marketing works. It's a straight money grab for guys like Kapernick, Cam Newton, etc. Also, how many people at your local gym are wearing Beats over ear headphones versus earbud headphones? I think i may have seen 2 people ever at my gym wearing Beats and they've always been the cheaper and smaller Beats Solo headphones versus the Studio Wireless (WHICH I OWN).

Just like any other marketing I have to think that guys like Tom Brady - at the end of the day - does whats best for him. He's been wearing the Beats earbuds during warmups and I'm guessing if he came down with ear infections all the time - he would have stopped. His check from Beats pales in comparison to his salary and I'm guessing, the irritation of getting ear infections.

I bought the QC20is for a long flight last year and love them. I dont wear them often but when I do I use them at the range only and I dont even play music, I just turn on the noise cancelling and tuck the cord down my back. The thing that I really like is that if there is a lesson or two going on, it shuts out most of that. Its a smaller range - maybe 20 stations - so it's hard to escape the tips flying around sometimes. But these are really comfortable.

And I was just giving you a warning based on advice I've gotten from a couple really good ENT specialists. If you're going to use earbuds make sure they are apple-style and not the rubberized noise-isolating kind or you're going to face the same issue.

Nice response, and for a change this didnt get into a pissing match.

Anyways......so I use a pair of Bose 'in ear' but the in ear part doesn't really go far into the ear canal, its more like a wide fit....and then it hooks within the outer ear. Now I havent worked out in the gym with them (cost me too much as their noise cancelling too, for risking that) but I have spent 2 hours on the range (a few times) hitting balls and never had ear problems.

I think before buying you really need to look and see how the design inserts into the ear....the narrow ones could cause issues.....the wide ones that need a little more technology to offset that there not jammed in the ear, maybe not. Just my two cents.
