Radio silence from one of the best on BST....

Hey all. So let me start by saying I'm not mad, maybe a little upset because today was probably the last day of my season but I know life is bigger than that. I bought a shaft from a very well respected member here, Milo623. He has 205 positive 0 negative and 0 neutral. I paid for the item on 10/8. On 10/10 he emailed me to apologize that he hadn't mailed it out yet but it would go out the following day. I told him cool and thanks for the communication.

 

I've emailed him a few times since then and I've heard nothing from him. Last he's been on is 10/13.

 

This is more of a "does anyone know him and is he ok" thread than a "WTF AHHHHHH". I know I can file a claim and get the money back but i really want this shaft. Lol.

 

Yet, life happens and i just want to make sure he's ok then I can worry about the money/transaction later.

 

So if anyone knows him can you please give him a call/text/email and see if everything is ok?

Help! I'm having an almost identical problem with the same seller, Milo623. I sent him a significant Paypal on 12/10, and he had indicated he would mail my package the following day. Now, over a week later, no package and ZERO communication....no shipping confirmation, tracking info, or reply to multiple messages and emails. Not sure what's going on with this seller....he was significant positive feedback, yet there seems to be some history of poor performance. Can anyone help me contact this seller before I start the process of trying to get my money back?

Sounds like you didn't gift the money so you're all good, just a really crappy situation. I'd send him a PM and direct him to this start to start a fire under his a$$.

Although there is no excuse for poor communication, lets not hang the guy up. Its only been a week... while that is too long to go without communication its not unreasonable for your package not to have arrived by now. I know many of us strive to ship the next day but it doesn't always happen. There is no reason for people to start threads so quickly imo.

Hey all. I got a PM shortly after I started this thread from one of Milo's friends on here. He contacts Milo and Milo told him to give me his phone number. But shortly after he contacted me and said he had to rush out of town because someone as sick in his family.

He promptly sent me what I bought along with a nice hat as an apology.

I no longer have his number but am trying to find his friend. I know what his profile pic looks like but forgot his handle.

I told mtgjr that I'd try and figure it out for him.

Thats all i got now. It was pretty quick from start to end for me. As you can see, abou 2 hours from start of thread to end

Yeah, I bought from him too and haven't heard from him, but from his feedback and other posts I figured something bad must have happened. That sucks and if anyone does contact him just let him know it's all good and ship whenever he can.

I have had only one interaction with Milo. I purchased a set of wedges a few weeks ago from a differnt member here. Had a question on the shafts if they were sraight in or 8 iron shafts 2x soft stepped. He was unsure and mentioned he bought them from Milo. PMed Milo an he responded within a day to my ?

When I first read this post I thought Milo had the family issues going on right now, but I realized that it's two different transactions. I get things happen, but it's been since December 10th now and haven't heard anything from him. I hope he is ok and I really doubt he is trying to scam, but it's pretty concerning at this point in time...

Yep, both of them.

For a guy with so many positive transactions on the BST, I would say his actions, or lack there of, with these two transactions is completely out of character.

Makes me think there are some serious issues beyond his control. Possibly health issues of his own or a family member are occupying his time.

I'm not offering excuses on his behalf, just possible reasons.

yes, Hot Rod is correct... mine is from October.... it took some time but I got my AD MT shaft in good order and as I said he sent me a pretty slick Odyssey Skull and Crossbones hat as a kind gesture.

Yeah, definitely reach out to a MOD if there has been no communication. Also, file a claim with PayPal... and please don't tell us you gifted.....

I don't have anything bad to say about Milo. Who knows, maybe he messed up some BST rules and is not active right now and serving a suspension. It is easy to overlook stuff when you sell as much as some people do. Not making excuses for him though.

Definitely reach out to his PayPal email directly and not through here in case is inbox is not accessible. Some of the suspensions are 30 days.

Take Joey's advice and file a PayPal claim, and then contact him via his email address on PayPal.

worst that can happen after a claim is that he contacts you and sends you the stuff. Regardless, it may be time for negative/neutral feedback regardless of turnout.

I sent an email to his PayPal email address on Saturday and haven't heard anything. It just seems incredibly odd though that it's such a good member here so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. I don't need the money at the moment so I'm not freaking out about it and I fell like I got an amazing deal. So I'd really just like to get the merchandise if it comes down to it. So I'm not sure if I'm going to file the PayPal claim because of that. If it continues past Christmas week, then I'll revisit things, but we'll see.

I'd assume of he was banned on here one of the mods would have already contacted us and said he was banned. Plus I believe both of us have emailed him away from here without success. It's unfortunate, but hopefully it turns out well. If not, then I've got PayPal protection and I'll get it back... Thanks for the responses and help so far though.

Check his profile to see when he was last active on the forum.

If he has been banned, the word "banned" will appear under his name.

Edit: looks like the last time he was active on this forum was 12-10. It doesn't appear that he has been banned. You can contact a Mod to find out if he's serving a suspension.

We're tracking this topic. milo has not been banned nor suspended.

If it's been over 2 weeks since payment, I would recommend filing PP claims ASAP and leaving appropriate feedback.

Well, here's my update. No change! The only change is that it's now been 2 full weeks since I sent him payment, and I've sent a couple more emails to his personal email address. Still ZERO communication. By the way, the last time he was active on the forum was two hours after I sent my payment (on the 10th).

I will tell you that I've been in contact with two other members still owed by Milo, and at least three others who had similar experiences with him. They did eventually get their stuff. When I asked how he could possibly have perfect feedback, they all said that he blamed the delay on sick kids or family members and they didn't want to be the first to ding his feedback if he was actually telling the truth. I was leaning toward benefit of the doubt myself, but given what I've learned, this really seems to be a pattern and he has hidden behind family emergencies (or else really has a lot of them) to keep from getting bad feedback.

But really, in this day and age, who isn't connected to their email and internet access 24/7? Even with a family emergency, could you not find 10 minutes over the course of two weeks, to fire off a quick message to 3 people who collectively sent you several hundred dollars? I was intending to use the pullovers and sweaters I bought for Christmas gifts, so he really screwed me up. Very frustrating.

Just today, I filed a claim with Paypal. Two weeks is long enough. I did not gift, so I should be ok.

I've started the claim process with PayPal as well today. I figured we should both keep a similar date process to make it even more valid that he is not doing this correctly. I too did not gift so I should be protected. If someone else bought from him, I would suggest starting the claim process today.
