So my user name is Break81. Well my 2nd round with my new custom fit G30 irons and I shot 79 today! Also swapped my R1 for my new I25 driver. My whole new set up really does work for me.

 

I did almost blow it though, went double on 16, bogey on 17 and need a par on 18 (430 yard par4) and pulled my drive into the cabbage. Could only advance my 2nd shot about 100 yards and hit my 3rd from 85yrds to about 15 feet. Had a 2 foot sweeper downhill left to right and drained it to join the under 80 club!

 

Great day, 88 degrees no wind, course in perfect condition and played excellent **except for a 2 doubles. Had 2 other chips that hit the pin but didn't drop too.

 

I was very diligent getting properly fit but man it was soooooo worth it.

Well I have worked on some mechanical set up errors, but I know having properly weighted shafts for my tempo has improved my ball striking tremendously.

But seriously, congrats. One milestone down - lots more left ahead. Scoring one 79 is like trying to eat just one Lay's Potatoe Chip. No one can eat just one.
