I cancelled the i10's I ordered and got the 440's. After 27 holes I'm going to go out on a limb and say they are the best G series I've played and I've owned almost all of them.

Wowzers that's high praise. I must admit I am tempted. I haven't hit one but I've seen them and they look a really good size to me.

I love the profile of the irons at address. Well hit shots feel nice and solid but they let you know when you miss hit them. I damn near completely missed a 5 iron last night in league and it still reached the front fringe of the green. I was shocked it got there.

first 9 holes with my g430’s was positive 

first hole caught a low flier from the rough with 7i. Planned 140 shot went almost 160 but at least it caught the back of the long green.  Made a nice 2nd putt to save par 

 

hole 6 I hit a decent 9i that caught the front of the green. Poor lag putt led to bogey 

 

hole 8 par 3 over water nearly got an ace with the 7i playing 143. I couldn’t see it because of the sun glare. Ended up about 18” away. Guy on the next tee box walked over and he thought I made it. 
 

Hole 9 I tugged an 8i and missed but it went pin high leaving an easy chip to a foot and kick in par. 
 

I caught the groups in front of me and had time to kill so I hit 5 test shots on a couple of holes with the 7-Pw. Hit the green 4 times and hit the green with a 9i but it skipped off of the back. That’s my only worry is they seem pretty low spinning. Even with a V1x. I draw the ball as my stock shot plus am a sweeper. So usually a pretty low spin player.
 

i worked on the range though the other day and I seemed to get a lot more height if I just open the face a smidge at address. So I am going to try that. 
 

Also have a ball fitting with Bridgestone Saturday to see what they have to say.

Well, here again to sing the praises of my g25 irons. I’ve hit irons shots the last few times out that I’ve not been able to hit for 3 years. Not to mention the forgiveness when I do miss hit it. Clanked a 9 iron thin and off the toe on #1. Ends up 15ft short and 12ft left of the hole. Not a chance that shot even hits the green with the irons I’ve played the last 3 years. I hit some 5 irons that were beautiful and high that only released a couple feet. Have not had that shot in the bag with the modern irons I played the past.

Couldn’t help myself. Ordered a set of 7-PW 1.5 strong red dot G430 irons with DG Mid 115 S300. 
Let’s see how it gaps off a 25.5 9 wood. 
 

At $128.50 a club, can’t see myself losing too much money on these.

Ok g men, I drifted away from my Ping G's for the last few months but I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on either another set of Ping 2016 G's or Ping G30's.  I have played the G's for a few years but the comments on this forum have me thinking about the G30's.  What would you do if you were in my shoes.  I hit the G's good but I've always been wanting the G30's.  Anybody, can you help with my decision?

Get both!  G30's are really solid, but the G's have a lower CG and more pop (stronger lofts, spring faces).  A man can't have too many G irons!

Nessism, you are the pro when it comes to G irons.

No, they had steel CFS shafts in them when I sent them back. Yes they will replace any missing badges and cpt.

I just ordered some G30's in my specs.  I'm looking forward to hitting them.  I've hit them before and they were sweet!

Migrated back to the G430s, they were a good deal and I snagged all the wedges up to 58. I have had many many iron sets since 2010, like 40 sets. Churn was my iron game. The G430s with the AWT 2.0 have been so solid my churn days are over. Just super consistent.

Shot a 37 tonight in league on our back 9 with my 440's. I haven't shot a 37 on the back one time ever. Had some 38's and 39's but no 37's. Hitting irons pin high all night. It was a feeling I'm not familiar with.😅

Interesting, I just did a twilight round at my league course and also went 37, with two lip outs from close. Before that my PB was 39. My 58 has been on fire for several weeks. Pop it close, putt it in, on to the next tee.

If anyone is looking for a nicer set of G 2016’s (graphite TFC 80i soft reg) hit me up. Thought maybe I was ready for that shaft but sticking to reg flex for now. So selling this set. 
Would love to see them go to someone on here
