Got out after work yesterday for a quicky twilight round, and threw the G30's back in the bag after some recent players clubs experiments. This situation keeps repeating itself but every time I come back to the G's after some hoing, and I'm quickly reminded how good they are. Great feel, sound, and forgiveness.

One of my recent hoing experiments was with some spring faced irons. The technology is alluring but the feel and sound is not. I much prefer these solid cast clubs.

O.G. here.

Played Eye 2s forever. Brief detour with Titleist 755s and a couple different Mizunos before going back to a set of ISI BeCu. Finally decided that given the limited times I have to play and zero time that I have to practice, I'd have to trade the sexy look of my copper Pings in the bag for better performance.

Enter a set of G10s that I picked up cheap. They just want to go high and straight. I can draw them if I need to or fade them if I want to. As great as the ISI was, the G10 (and subsequent Gs) is just so much easier for me. Forgiving on my typical toe miss, and hitting the ball fat requires a horrible swing indeed.

Good friend of mine is Gd up from the tee up! G30 driver, 4W, hybrid, and 4i thru LW! When we tee it up I ask him how he likes that rental set. LOL.

Start to play golf with a set of r7 Draw...stuck.. This year I took few lessons during the long winter in PA (too long !) then bought a preowned set of G25...this move has changed my golfer life ! Much more confident, much more consistent so very very happy....then replace the remaining TM sticks by other G stuffs: driver G30, FW, hybrid G25....once again, very happy. Thank Mr Ping

G man since got back to golf, g2, g15, g25 irons, eye 2 xc wedges g20 4 wood and 4 g20 hybrid. Tried i's and even s short irons but g is where is at. G2 12* 3 wood best ever, so stupid for letting that one go. Go ping

Currently gaming my G20s for the 4th straight season.

Tried and liked the newer G30s. Got 'em shafted with DG300s. Hit 'em well on my first range session.

Need a few more range sessions with 'em before taking them out on the course,,,,,,,

Hit the new TM RS1 forged the other day into a net. Felt pretty darned good and started looked at the prices, etc. Then I picked up a demo G30 and hit it a half dozen times - forgot all about the RS1s,,,,,,,

Picked up my favorite G series irons (G15 4-PW , UW) as well as a Gorge 58°.. Added a G25 3i to round out the bag.

Walked on to the course without changing the grips to the ones I like or even hitting one at the the range.

Result.. One of my best ball striking rounds in a long long time!
Shot 78 and missed 2 putts inside 5'!!

I am so sorry.. I will never doubt the dull..tumbled .. Large oversized shovels again!

By the way.. The UW is magic around the greens.

I'll say it myself.. I welcome myself back to the Gmen club!

I have a set of Karsten's to go along with my I15's. Putting together a set of S59 using the poor mans MOI match method over the winter(3/8" length progession along with .5 SW increase from 4i to PW). Can I be in the G club?

I also have a 5-PW,SW set of K15 I got from a friend that I will likely sell-picked up the Karsten's instead.

The Karstens will get you membership, but those i15s in your bag say otherwise. You have to give in to the fat bottom girls fully to be a G-MAN.

Use mine for full shots only. Typically goes between 85 and 95. Still working and experimenting with my wedge set up.

Nice stuff their Kj--welcome back to the G club. I had to have my G30's bent back to black dot (from yellow), and now they are dialed in nicely. I still have my G15 irons, but won't play them much due to the G30's looking better, feeling better, and being just as forgiving as the G15's to me. Really outstanding irons.

Anyone still rocking the G5's? Played with a guy 2 weeks back who bought his brand new and have been playing them since. He was throwing darts all day. Took me back to when u had them in my bag. Still one of my favorite G-series: no frills or busy cavity badges, just a solid blue collar set of sticks.

I'm thinking some G5's with CFS shafts would be a solid setup. Sometimes thinking about going back a few G generations to play these, but the 25's are just too good.

G5's are cool and all, but they have more offset in the short irons compared to more modern G's so you gotta be okay with that.

Bought the G25 last year and went from a 11 to an 8!

Earlier this year after a couple of bad rounds under my belt I switched to my old Ping S56. It was the indian, not the arrow.

Going back to the G25 it was unbelievable how these club feel soft for cast clubs.

I've been playing my best iron play in the last few rounds and have been shooting from 76 to 79. Awesome I must say!

I just love my G30's with nippon shafts. Best irons I've played to date. Came from the G25's, which are now cemented into my travel bag.

G10 Driver & G25 irons. There is no moving these 2 beauties out my bag honest . In all seriousness though how can people moan about them by making the game sensible? They allow you to shape shots and give extra help when needed.
