I have always struggled to fine the right club for the between 3 wood and 4 iron space in my bag, the driving iron is great but its a 1 trick pony, off the tee and perfect lies only. Hated having 235-245 into a par 5 out of the rough and not being able to hack something up around the green. the Callaway Apex UW was good for me when I put a heavy hybrid shaft in it but it seemed to have an off flight on a slight toe miss. I have experimented with 5 woods and 7 wood and the 5 woods go too far and the 7 woods i struggle with off the tee. The TSR1 i loved the shape of it because there is very little to no face progression, it looks like a small fairway wood head but sets up more like an iron face look. So it has been quite good for me. Heavy hybrid shaft in it to keep the flight down and i used the -6g weight and added some hotmelt to the front to keep the spin down.  I much prefer the look of the TSR1 over the TSR2 hybrid and was able to get spin in and peak height in the same range by weighting it the way I did.

I struggle with this exact sample problem. I got a new Stealth 2 3 wood last year with a Ventus 7X Blue shaft and it has become one of my more consistent club in the bag. My 4 hybrid is the gap between by 3 wood and T200 Utility Shaft. 3 wood goes about 250-260 and 4 iron goes around 215. Hybrid goes about 225 but is way too draft biased but I have had one forever. Cant decide if I want to try a 5/7 Wood. Feel like the 5 wood might be too hot. Would love to know what you settled on this.

I am leaning towards going new GT280 mini driver and then GT3 5 wood and making my 4 iron a little stronger.
