Only one course around Fort Lauderdale

Hi,

 

I'm planning a roadtrip with wife and kid in Florida for February/March 2015, and I have most of the courses I will play:

Streamsong Blue

Innisbrook Copperhead

World Woods Pine Barrens

TPC Sawgrass Stadium

Bay Hill

Turnberry Isle Soffer.

 

As you can see, I'm a "bucket list chaser", and I still have one more "opening" for a round around the end of our trip, and we will be staying in fort Lauderdale. So a trip of max 45 minutes from there would be perfect.

I don't know which course to choose from:

 

The Club at Emerald Hills

Diplomat resort

North Palm Beach country club

Doral Blue Monster (already played right before the Trump changes, don't know if it is worth it to play after the redesign ?)

Anything else ?

 

Of course if anybody is able to invite me to play Seminole or Trump Palm Beach the search is over ! ;-)

Plantation Preserve is one of my favorites in the area. TPC Eagle Trace is a great course too

I thought TPC Eagle Trace was a member only course ?
How do you book a tee time there ?

Last time i checked golfnow you could get a tee time there, albeit limited time slots

I second Plantation Preserve. I play a few down there and it was clearly my favorite.

TPC Eagle Trace is a Clublink course. Awesome track except for the stadium holes 9,18

Very challenging layout with lightning greens, and always windy there

The pro's thought it was too hard .. except the one year McAllister went -22 in four days of calm conditions

One of my fellow Clublink members may be down at that time and for sure you could play with him

I grew up there. I like Emerald Hills and TPC Eagle Trace the best. They both offer a good challenge. Eagle Trace was private a couple years ago but not anymore. You will often see Lexi Thompson out there which is pretty cool.

I think it will be a toss up between Emerald Hills and Eagle Trace

I played Emerald Hills 6-7 times when I was down in Miramar for work. It's a great course. Staff was super nice
