2015 Bag Updates

While I like my current set up very much, I will sample the new Ping wedges when they are released. I saw pictures of them in another post and they look wonderful. I will take more lessons and focus on better balance, more consistent impact through the bag, better distance control from 100 yards in and making more putts within 10 feet.

I started off 2014 with the Rapture V2 driver, Ping G15 3W, 2 Ping G10 hybrids, i15 irons, Ping Tour-S wedges and Ping B60 putter - an all Ping bag!

In 2015 I will be heading to the course with a Callaway BB driver, X2 Hot 3W, X Hot 5W, X Hot 21* hybrid, Apex 4-A irons and MD2 Tour Grind wedge and a Bridgestone True Balance TD-01 putter. The woods, hybrid and MD2 wedge were all added during the course of the year while the Apex irons and Bridgestone putter are recent additions that haven't even seen the course yet. BTW, I went with the Bridgestone putter after having a chance to demo it at a clinic early in November. What a great feel it has being counter-counter balanced.

Adams Hybrid 20 -- Stays
Ping s55 4-PW -- Stays
50, 56 m and k (respectively) TVD Vokeys -- Stays
13 Year old 2 Ball Putter -- Is leaving the bag. Shopping for a button back or something that will inspire me to putt.
*Empty Spot* - Not sure here. Maybe another wedge or a 7 wood, if I can find one with a stiff shaft.

Making final decisions on either 5 wood , 22* hybrid, or just 22* ,19* hybrid.
Looks like mostly a Mizuno bag this year ! Well, its almost been a Mizuno something for the last 30 plus
years !!

Still looking to re-shaft my i25's and have been teasing myself by trying the i25 driver at the range.

The anser 3 wood Aldila Tour green combo plus the Nome are certainly safe.

This is the first year, that my bag will stay as is! Not even the slightest desire to look at any new gear.

I love my G30 Driver, Fairways, S55 irons and Vokey Wedges. Any changes to the flat stick will come from my own reserve lol.

Well that and the fact that in the fall, I snagged some vintage gear that I will insert occasionally if I get the urge to play something different!

2015 will be a year dedicated to instruction and selling off a lot of excess gear!

915 d3 and 915h. New mizuno mp15 4-pw c-taper xs, mp-t5 50 degree, 54 and 58 degree sm5 and scotty newport 2.

It's going to bee a fun year in 2015. Wife said get what you want it's your 40th Birthday year.

Dumped the hybrids
Changed putters to conform easier
Changed shafts

Just wait till 2016, i'll do it again

Hopefully the only change in my bag this year will be the TEE E8 Beta 3 wood I am still waiting to have delivered and a DBD driver which I will pick up when I return to the states.

Great looking old school bag you're putting together there. As I'm encumbered with a wife, kids and a mortgage I have to make do with older new gear. Managed to sneak a set of Ping i3 Osize irons with reg shafts past the finance minister this week, so I have some 'new' clubs to look forward to this year.

Will be getting fitted (again) for 915 D3 driver. Seriously that club is the biggest Jeckle and Hyde piece of equipment I have ever hit. I have demoed it multiple times, with multiple shafts on course, on the range and a few times with LMs. Some times I feel it's the greatest' longest and most forgiving driver I have ever have ever hit. Other times I wonder why am I bothering with this obnoxious sounding POS that cannot keep up with my 913D3. As a Titleist fan-boi it's driving me nuts

Will definitley be getting 16.5 deg 915f, 21 deg 915h and 23.5 deg 915hd. Irons, wedges and putter are set!

I haven't picked up my Alpha 815 DD yet (waiting for a shaft) and I bought an Apex UT to replace my Fli Hi.

Other than that I found an old favorite Exotics xcg5 4 wood. I had one years ago and moved on to try other things and always regretted not keeping it.

Driver - switching from a 913D2 to a R15 460... Excited!

Irons - going back to the RSi 2s. Had them briefly before trading them. Back to them for this year

Putter - not sure yet but I'm definitely changing because I sold all of the putters that I played in 2014 Got some options, but who knows

Spent the last 3 years HOing and destroying my game.. Decided to go back to all the clubs that 100% performed over past 5 years

All woods are RBZ
Irons are PING i15 - Awesome irons!
Wedges are Snake Eyes.. If you never tried a snake eyes wedge.. Your missing out
Putter is my custom Cameron

There is literally no reason to change as all of these clubs were in my bag when I played my best.

I moved to SLDR Irons, New Shafts in my Wedges.

Only thing else that might change is Driver but that is not set as of yet.

Total bag overhaul for the 2015 season. The only club that keeps sticking in the bag is my Nike 001 Method cut to 33 inches! Thing is money even though I'll continue to try all the putters on the market to compete for the spot in my bag

Going to pick up new I25 5-pw to my replace my irons and then get a couple of the new Ping wedges when they are released this spring. Otherwise think I'm set.
