Adams Speedline Super LS driver- still in the bag?What shaft?

I stumbled into one of those 'too good to pass up' excuses to buy one of these the other day and wondered if anyone was still bagging one and if they pulled out the KuroKageBlack and put something else in. I played the 3 wood for a couple months and while it was long, I wasn't crazy about the shaft or feel, that was over a year and several swings ago as well so I'm optimistic about the driver. I prefer a higher bend point/stiff tip setup ala the Black Tie or ProLaunch Red so I'll be surprised if I wind up liking the mid bend point on the KKBlack. Anybody have any experiences with swaps on these heads?

I just picked one up and didn't like the KuroKage either. Not a bad shaft, but lacked feel for me. I swapped to a Grafalloy Blue shaft and like the driver 10x better.

That's funny, one of the first economical low/low shafts I thought of was the Blue, want to keep this a cheap experiment so I was searching the bay for one last night. So far I'm thinking either the Blue or AXE XCaliber Tour 6+ or SWD50, assuming the worst with the KK....

Both driver and 3w are currently being trimmed to 44" and 42" respectively and hotmelted to D3. I played the driver a little shorter than the standard 45" when I had an original Blueboard in it last summer, but the shaft snapped right above the hosel on the third hole one day. I simply went back to the standard KK Black because the profile was similar to that of a Blueboard (a bit more spin and a bit less feel, but all in all I find them to be quite comparable)...I never changed the KK Black in the 3w.

I hope you enjoy your new driver! Like much of the equipment that is out there right now, it will perform incredibly for you as long as it's a good fit. Mine are cannons when I put a good swing on them. When demoing the driver for the first time, I somewhat mailed it in because I didn't like the white crown. So I simply swung as hard as I could...and produced 4 consecutive straight bulletts over 310 yds. No matter what I threw at it (and the 3w), I couldn't put them down. My misses were more playable, and my good strikes were far better than what I had been playing. Can't argue with those results! While I never swing anywhere near that hard on the course, both driver and 3w have been the most consistent clubheads I have ever played. I never hesitate to recommend them to anybody.

I had a full set - driver, fairway, super LSP, and super 9031's. Great lineup. I had AxivCore Tour Blacks in mine along with a V2 76x in the driver. I almost pulled the trigger on another Super LS driver, with the intention of trying a VS Proto 60x in it. I think that would have been a great setup.

I like the Blueboard when it was paired with the Optiforce 3 wood and driver and I have the VS Proto from an Adams A12 hybrid that I put in one of my VST hybrid heads, both sound like good pairings. I've got two shafts from my Fast 12LS that I could try as well, a ProForce V2 65S and a reg flex PL Red that I tipped about an inch , still have a spare adapter too, almost forgot about my F12LS stuff fitting....

Don't forget to hit it side by side with your F12LS. I had a Super LS. Tried with with the shaft I had in my F12LS... F12LS is still in the bag and the Super is long gone.

Loved mine with a Fubuki Alpha 60X. Low spin and long. I loved, loved, LOVED the shape of that driver. No real reason to not play it any more other than just ho'ing. If there was a black version I'd buy it again. Currently playing the Adams XTD TI.

Played it most of last year with the KK60 black and plan on hanging onto it for a while even though I have others to try. Was a very good combo for me. If any of you want to get rid of your stock KK60 black, let me know as I have another head I'd like to try it in. The adapter is not needed.

[/quote] I'll let you know, since I had such a negative experience with the 3 wood I've pretty much resigned myself to the likelihood of a reshaft. So far it'll likely be either a Graf Blue or an Arthur , unless I find a 6M3 for under 50 bucks...............

I thought I was not going to buy any clubs this year, but what with the snow and cold weather, I decided to buy the Super LS driver on Monday, received it yesterday. It seems like a good driver, has the adjustments and all. I'm not expecting 300 yard drives, but yesterday, I hit 4 balls at the range, in 23 degree temp, frozen ground and 3" of snow on the ground. (The club asked me to come in and help the manager figure some payroll stuff, so I didn't make a special trip.) I didn't take the plastic off the head, and the ball marks were in the sweet spot, all 4 balls down the middle, couldn't tell distance, however.

Anyhow, my driver is a 9.5 deg, with a firm Mitzubishi shaft. I'm sure someone will tell me that the LS for young, scratch guys, but what the heck? Today, I took the plastic off the head, and fiddled around with the lofts. As I messed around, the shaft bolt dropped out and fell on the carpet. I didn't see any washer, just the bolt. Seems some engineer "screwed" up with not providing a device so the shaft bolt stays where it should. Finding a lost bolt in the grass will be fun. (Shouldn't be adjusting it mid game anyhow, penalty built in.)

Anyhow, will see how it performs when the weather improves. I'd appreciate if someone can tell me that I didn't loose a washer or something.

What really amazes me is that on the Adams website, the LS isn't even mentioned, as though it never existed. I believe it is a 2013 model, so at two years old, you'd think all kind of information would still be available. I guess OEMs consider their stuff useless junk, once it is replaced.

A nice touch was the leather head cover and ditty bag. Really classy.

You may be getting them backwards. There's absolutely nothing low/low about the Blue other than it's price! The Red was the low. Blue is the high. Both awesome shafts if that profile is what you're looking for.

You may be getting them backwards. There's absolutely nothing low/low about the Blue other than it's price! The Red was the low. Blue is the high. Both awesome shafts if that profile is what you're looking for.

He is speaking of the ORIGNAL Grafalloy BLUE not the Prolaunch Blue. 2 different animals.

Buying the Speedline was probably a mistake. I hate the white head, the feel off the face of that driver is a crime compared to the Fast 12LS, and I'm still not any longer than the 9064LS was. I actually like the KK Black with the F12LS head, sorry I'm probably going to keep it, sorry Payton. I played a few holes with it today paired with a PL Red Axis, pured a couple but everything was wet and the wind was terrible so nothing was going to give me any indication other than feel today and the XL Custom still beats it out in that category. I'll hold onto it , will repaint the head though, white clubheads are so awful in my opinion.

I hit this in PGA Superstore and I didn't like it. Felt top heavy for some reason. It had a very light shaft in it and not the stock.

H-Matt I just purchased that head on ebay for a great price. Like you it was a deal I couldn't pass up. Any way I'll get to the point. I just shafted it with a Pro launch red speed coat stiff flex. Just had a chance to hit the club today at the golf dome. Wish it was warm enough here to play outdoors. The club feels great with that shaft, and even though I was hitting indoors I can tell it's going to knock my RBZ out of the bag. I found the club to be forgiving on mishits. I have the 9.5 head, and I seem to get the best results with the head set at 10.5 reg lie. Even though I was hitting indoors I can tell this is a low spin head (at least compared to the RBZ). To sum it up, it works good for me with the Pro launch red. Hope this helps. Good golfing.
