Fade for driver, draw for irons

For some reason lately when I have played, I have been more comfortable and consistent while trying

to hit a little cut with the driver. However my irons seem to be better trying to hit a draw, does anybody else

play this way?, seems like I should be trying to go with one shot pattern, however can't seem to get comfortable that way. Anybody have any ideas what might be the reason for this?

I play this way. I don't have any plans to try to change it any time soon. Is there a reason you don't want to play a cut off the tee? Are you looking for more roll out or do you just think a draw looks better?

I play this way. My miss is a bad snap hook, so forcing my self to cut the driver makes sure I'm not out of the hole. With the irons I play my more 'natural' draw.

This is how couples played through his peak and is not that unusual.
When you look at the 3D aspect of impact and relative strike on the horizontal swing plane its why we see a lot of coaches now advocate a specific swing for irons and woods to maintain the same shot shape

Hitting more down with irons makes path more right. Which is why it's easier to draw. Driver swing is less down so you can setup more closed if you want to draw it.

Used to play draws for everything but then started to having bad snap hook (my normal miss).

Did not like fade off the tee for many years but then my playing partner (who hits country mile) changed to controlled fade and I started that as well.

I can be more aggressive and hit hard with fade than draw (I guess mental thing) and hits baby draw with irons became my normal game.

I was a bit disappointed with slight distance loss off the tee box but loving the control I have now.

Could also be related to the "modern" view that the driver is two or more inches longer than it was 20 years ago, but the irons are close to the same as 20 years ago. Distance marketing has caused a disproportionate distortion of the lengths in the set.

Is your driver 45in? In my experience, if it were 44 you might find yourself cutting it less.

This is the way I play when I'm swinging well and playing my best. Slight drop-off fade with the driver and little draws with the irons.
