R15 430 question.

Sorry if this has been confirmed. I searched and couldn't seem to satisfy my question. Is the r15 430 available in black? Reason I ask is that I have one on order that is replacing my cracked sldr 430 . Covered by TM. I specified black. Nobody questioned that. Now I'm reading up and watching comparisons of the two heads and it looks like some are saying white only for the 430. That's a no go soldier ! No can do. Just wanted to confirm here before I start making calls. I'm ok with getting a white one and selling but need to change to a higher loft which is more popular for a easier sell. Any help ?

As far as I'm aware, only the 460 is available on black. I just checked tm's website and only the 460 is available in black atm.

I know what will happen. I can psych myself into playing the white head "which makes me throw up in my mouth a little now " and as soon as I'm "ok" with it they will release the darker one (black or grey). And I will have to have it. So they got me again. Damn them. They come at you from every angle. Last time they did this in reverse. White head came out and every white head lover had to have one. Ok. Rant over. Time to figure this out. I have a tournament in 6 weeks and the big stick is in limbo.

I'd get another 430 SLDR if you hate the white that much. The R15 feels better and may give you some better length on mis-hits, but it's not a game changer the way the 430 SLDR was. Granted, the feel may be a big thing. I'm thinking of going to the R15 just because of that. But, in your situation, I'd just go back to the 430 SLDR.

yea...im thinking I will... sell off the r15 and go back to sldr... I have a connection to be able to pro-paint the r15 head for free but im surer that causes warranty issues later on if the need arose...

I am sticking with my R1, till i can demo a R15, i am not worried about color. Would be nice is 430 was in Black.

Im also now reading that the R15 430 "looks" larger at address...that's another minus to me... wow just hard to believe TM can go in so many different directions from one model to another... How do guys stay loyal? Other brands I get it...they stay along the same path....But loft up, loft back down.. 430 looks small and deep, 430 looks wide and shallow, one head is grey then white comes later as a "special release"..... then next model white is automatic color with no other choices.. How on earth does this sound like a plan to retain customers? Or am I just too picky? that's probably it....Im sure its my fault... Sldr is the 1st club from TM ive ever owned... You might know the one I fall in love with would be a one hit wonder so to speak.. I know I can get a used head easy enough..But just feels somehow like ive been cheated from a "found money situation" I should be happy the new model is on the way for free.... but I just wish the old one hadn't cracked.. I don't think that's how it should be.. oh well... might be time to hit the 915D3 and see what that's about..at least I know in 2 years when titleist releases another it will be similar enough that I can stand it... ahhhh Im sorry guys..i just want to stop thinking about this.. I was happy with what I had... if the dang thing will show up already I can sell it off and be rid of the idea.

You could sell the R15 head and buy a sldr head for half or less.

I'm holding off until they release a black 430, personally. The R15 430 does look bigger than the SDLR 430 but some of that is the white paint always looks bigger. Also the face is a lot deeper than it looks in some of those promotional pics, it's about the same as the SLDR. The R15 460 is much shallower than the SLDR's.

I knew I had seen a pic of one somewhere.. I think Justin Rose is swinging one in a pic I saw..... Talked with TM today and said that painting the head wouldn't void warranty for face..only would void warranty on paint (obviously) so I don't know ...I have access to paint work for free...(automotive quality ) I need to go hit the darn thing somewhere....always my problem , the only store with simulator is 45 min away ...so 1 1/2 hours driving plus hitting time equals half day off work... hard to do nowadays.... and if I did take that long off I would want to go play 9..lol not hit balls into a screen.. I better quit while im ahead....im super close to an all titleist bag .ha...I always said that was impossible (one oem in the bag) ....

Well my prayers were answered. Got the call yesterday that my head had arrived. Apparently TM reads this site or read my mind and searched around and found a TP head that someone had in their office on display. Lol. So I got a replacement sldr 430 tp So all is right with the world. I've demoed everything new since I last posted and nothing suits my eye like this head. Thanks to all who listened to my rant. TM customer service Is top notch in my book !

not as far as I know... I think it just didn't show up in "regular inventory" search originally because it was TP... Im guessing normally they don't give out TP heads and shafts when replacing regular OTR heads... but since it was that or an R15 they chose the older one...which is good by me.. I didn't want to give up my shaft (don't have the stock one anymore) so the shop sent the TP shaft back with the cracked head .... The shaft was a S flex blueboard....
