I apologize for not getting back to you. We try to answer all questions every day. And we do not have any in the queue. Could you please send your question to service@snellgolf.com and I will follow up with them Monday. Or if something I can answer here I would be happy to. Thanks.

Just ordered and received six boxes of the MTB's . Have only been able to play 18 Holes with them but am more than satisfied with my purchase. This is the first golf ball I have played that made me forget I wasn't playing a Pro V1.

The performance has been amazingly solid. Driver distance is as long as any ball I have hit and they stay on line. Must be the lack of spin. But off the irons they stop on a dime. Putt as they should, for the money I will play no other ball. I just need to reorder as my buddy stole two sleeves after I let him try a ball. Great product. BTW I was playing the MTB
+1....very good ball...have only played 1.5 rds with it, but already love it.

Post it in here. Dean is answering questions in this thread.

My question has been answered in this thread. I'm just up the road from Snell. When Dean was with TM I exchanged some emails with him regarding some of the TM balls. I had a quick question, and wanted to say "Hello", and wish him well. :-)

New guy here, this is actually my first post. I've recently discovered this site and have been scanning through for the past couple of weeks. I have been on the lookout for a "bargain" ball that offers good performance and after reading all of your posts and feedback I just ordered myself a dozen to try out. I'm looking forward to seeing the results myself!

Thanks for the message. Appreciate the well wishes. So far the performance reviews have been outstanding. If there are any questions I can help with or answer I would be happy to help.

Had my first 18 with the ball on Friday. Only pulled driver 5 times but all 5 went exactly where I wanted them to go plus about 10 extra yards. My 90% swing was producing 95% yardage.

Just awesome ball. Can't recommend it enough so far.

I've played this ball the last two days on two different courses that have bent greens. Around here they have to water bent greens a ton to keep them alive so they are usually soft and the balls spin like crazy. So much that last year I finally started playing Velocities in order to stop spinning it off the green.

I could play Nike RZN Black or Wilson FG Tours and spin it back on each shot, and it wouldn't be too bad except a few holes, but I just quit playing them.

Anyway, I decided to go ahead and try the Snell out and see how it performed. From the last two rounds that I've played, I have to say it's the best ball for these greens that I've ever played.

It has low spin off the driver and I was hitting bombs and was once again the long driver in the group after being 2nd or 3rd for most of the year. Off the irons, the ball was within a couple of feet of the ball mark on almost every shot. There were only two holes out of 36 where I spun the ball backwards. One was when I clipped it a little thin and the ball spun back and rolled down a slope of a green. The other was a 70 foot downhill par 3 and it spun back 8 feet.

In other words, I couldn't ask for a better premium ball on this course. Around the greens it will spin when I need it to and doesn't when I don't want it to. My biggest complaint about the ProV1 was the inconsistent spin around the greens. It would spin when I didn't want it to. This was very consistent.

The feel of the ball is great too. I'm really blown away by it. It reminds me of a soft, lower launching version of the TM TP Black ball. I'm not sure how it will play on harder bermuda greens for me, but I imagine I'll be ok. I usually play a more spinny ball on them anyway.

Add to the fact that the durability is better than both the RZN Black and Wilson FG Tour and I'm sold. You've got a solid customer Snell. Thanks!

Awesome.. thanks for the feedback.. I look forward to hearing your comments when you get a chance to play other types of courses and greens. Keeping driver spin low, mid iron spin controllable, and having nice feel and shot game spin are the key design criteria we used to develop this ball.. I love the feedback for not only this ball, but will use info for future designs as well... Looks like some comments about the name.. haha.. we will take a look at this and some options for the future.. agree it can have some impact so will take it into consideration.

I must admit I ended up taking my marker and changing the N to an M yesterday towards the end of the round. When I hit a good shot I said, "Smell my tour balls!"

It was a good laugh in the group. I hope you don't take that as a bad thing, as you can see I love the ball. Just having a good time with it as we needed it from the impending doom of losing in our golf match. :)

I think this ball is designed perfectly for what someone like me wants. I tend to spin it a lot so it's perfect. I could see however how others may want more iron spin out of it so I could see the demand for a A and B version where one spins more. I don't know if it's possible to keep the driver spin the same, but increase iron spin. If that was, that would be a great compliment to this one for firmer greens.

I think where a lot of balls go wrong is they increase the iron spin for players that need it, but their logic is that if the player needs iron spin, they need more driver spin. But that's not the case at all as they are two different swings. I'm sure there is a big market for a low driver spin, high iron spin ball.

Again, if that's even possible...

One issue i see sometimes is a ball is developed and people love it. And then it is "upgraded/updated" every year or two and some people long for the old ball that they liked better.

Do u plan on trying to keep the ball the same year after year or updating it continually?

Do u think you will keep the name the same forever much like titleist does with the prov. or do you see yourself having a "new" ball every few years with a new name like taylormade does: penta/ lethal/ tour preferred etc etc

I really hope this ball remains the same for more than 6 months. That's a big reason why I jumped ship on all of the Callaway and TM ball offerings. I just got sick of constantly trying to research which new ball matched my old ball. I've talked to more than a few golfers who play the ProV1 series specifically for that reason even though they admit that they're sure there's a ball that fits their game better out there.

Played another nine with the Snells last night. Hit my longest non-wind/dried out fairway assisted drive in 2 years with it, and the scary thing is I didn't even catch it 100% on the sweet spot. It was one of those drives where you find yourself on a corner of the fairway you've never been in before. As for wedge spin, I wish I could give a reliable report there but my wedge game has just been too inconsistent to blame anything but myself for a lack of check on those shots.

I agree.. a new ball every year is not necessary. I plan to keep the MTB design and will not change it this year or next year... we may add some new balls to the lineup as time goes on, but for now plan to keep this ball for a while.. the performance is very good, and combined with the direct to consumer affordable pricing, we think it is a great combination. Larger companies need to use new products year after year to increase sales an stay in the news.. I do not plan to do that..

I'll definitely use this as a selling point when talking to my friends about the ball. The rate at which TaylorMade and Callaway build up and then abandon their golf ball brands is maddening.

Finally received my order and got a chance to take these out. Things I noticed from a quick 18:

Balls is very long. Longer than the Pro V1X and FG Tour X that I typically play

Ball liked to stay straight

Ball is noticeably softer than my usual balls. Squaring one of these up feels really good

Ball durability, at least of the graphics, leaves a bit to be desired. By the end of 9 holes half of the 'S' in Snell was gone and the 'M' in My Tour Ball was gone

It was likely my swing, but I had some ballooning on my shorter irons. The ball seems to try and get nice and high and so do my G25 irons, this led to some par 3 shots that ended up shorter than I was expecting.
Overall, I am very optimistic and glad I placed a decent sized order.

After finally finishing off my first two dozen balls I have to say that I have really enjoyed all aspects of its performance. What I like most of all is the through out my irons my approach shots into the green have all been within two feet of the ball mark whether in front or behind. The worst thing about the ball I have found is hitting the last one out of play and losing it.

I bought the Snell MTB a couple of weeks ago and tried it for the first time today. My brief review: I played two balls a hole on my home course, so I know my normal distances. I only have a swing speed of about 103 mph. I am not usually brand loyal and have played a wide variety of balls over the past two years including the premium Titleist and B-Stone offerings. The MTB is an excellent ball. It was not clearly the best in any one category (driver distance, long iron spin, short iron spin, shot dispersion, putting softness,) however, it was consistently very near the top or tied in every single category. Kind of a "jack of all trades" ball. For that reason, I will definitely be giving this ball a chance to beat out my current "go to" ball. Feel wise, I would say it is most comparable to the newest version of the PV1x. For me, the durability was excellent, although I did not clip any cart paths or the like. After my one round, the two balls look almost new. I am hoping that it continues to perform after the "honeymoon" phase! I like the great customer service of this company and the price is outstanding for a premium ball.

I got a dozen MTBs about two weeks ago but for various reasons I only got to play a round with them this weekend. I usually play Pro V1x with the B330S as my second favorite. The MTB is definitely in the same league as those two balls. I found the MTB to have a softer outer shell and a softer feel off the clubface and putter. This ball reminded me of my all-time favorite Taylor Made ball, the TP Red. (I assume both balls were designed by the same guy.) The ball went a little higher than the Pro V1x and about 3-5 yards further. I did hit the cart path on one drive, and the MTB got scuffed, but the scuffing was much less than I have seen from other balls. Backspin was good although I am not a master at putting spin on the ball. Overall I am very pleased with the MTB and plan on buying more soon.

Finally got a chance to play the ball now for a couple rounds and really like it. Good distance, nice spin and great feel. Gave one to my buddy yesterday who's a much better player than I am and he loved it. He usually plays the ProV1x and felt this was just as good in every aspect if not better. Factor in the price point and it's a winner.
I'll be ordering more when this dozen runs out. :fan_1:

Delivery came today. I can't wait to use them this weekend. I'm going practice putting on my practice green (living room carpet) the rest of the week. I do like the hand written "Thank you" from Dean using my full name on the receipt. Nice personal touch. If these balls perform as well as everyone states, I'll ordering more.
