AP2 vs i25 vs 850 Forged - Long Irons

Hey all,

 

I am comparing these clubs (and open to others people suggest). I don't like that at fitting bays there is really only a 7 or 6 iron to swing.

 

Does anyone have experience using the 4 and 5 irons of these clubs? The marketing material, would suggest that the i25 is the easiest to hit here out of the bunch as it seems to be the most progressive set of the 3.

 

Was there a measurable difference in your ability to hit one of the three? The AP2 looks the hardest to hit based on size alone, but I have read that it is pretty easy.

Realistically I've been using a 2 and 4 hybrid for years, and prob will keep it, but if the 4-iron is easy to hit I would consider keeping that.

 

 

Also I guess any feedback on the shorter clubs as well? I was able to the ap2 PW and it felt really nice.

No experience with the i25, but I can compare the i20 to the Ap2 as i gamed each for a season. The i20 long/mid irons were much more forgiving for me. Misses didn't lose much distance at all from well struck shots. I did much prefer the short irons in the AP2 though. Just seemed much easier to get the yardage dialed in. You can't go wrong with either though.

the 4 and 5 irons for the AP2 are great! Love the feel and distance i get when I make solid contact on either one BUT there's a reason I use the AP1 line for my 4 and 5 irons. I need the extra forgiveness and height when i'm not striking it well. As I get better and find more time to practice I could slowly see myself swapping out both for the AP2 (I already switched my 6 iron to an AP2).

Had all 3 and the i25s are the easiest to hit hands down,All great irons but if you struggle with the long irons then the i25s are for you
