I would think in a tournament he dials it down a bit and to top it off he doesn't have a 48"+ shaft... yet he still probably has some smoke coming off the ball

Hopefully he never gets really good and makes it to the PGA Tour. Could you imagine if they started "Jamie-proofing" courses...

All of a sudden it would take a 360 yard carry to clear the bunkers instead of 290

I got to ride around with him a few years back for a round of golf and that's around about what he hit it with a stock length driver 375ish...
It was really cool to watch him tee off with a iron, the ball flight was like missle on laser lock, it started out low and screaming slightly to the right, then all the draw spin kicked in and started to climb fast and draw back towards the center of the fairway, then come down real soft and sit with no roll....not many players that have this shot in their arsenal .

Sadlowski using True Temper X700 shafts in his irons. Yes, there is such a thing.

I believe last year he played in Web.com tour event. Finished middle of the pack. Averaged like 365 off the tee. Lol ! Said in an interview he was holding back for accuracy. My Gawd..
He's literally taking 40 yards off his drives to put it into play.... wrap your mind around that. Bubba thinks he's long, he's not.

Two or three years ago he was at the season opener in Hawaii with Bubba, DJ and Garrigus and they had a long drive contest on the 18th hole at Kapalua. He destroyed them. Easily. Bubba got closest because one of his drives landed on a cart path, but was still 30 yards shorter (I think 407 versus 373). Anyway - they had a little bit about how Peter Kostis was working with him trying to get him to hit it shorter. How many people in the world are working on shortening their driving distance to get on the PGA tour? One? Amazing stuff. Most of the long drive guys don't look like they have real swings. They look like they're just going after speed. Sadlowski actually has a swing that looks "right". If only.

Sadlowski has been horrible at finding fairways, even with the 45" driver he uses
I remember watching that. Sadlowski was hitting it so far he was flying the downhill portion of the hole. He was getting virtually no roll... Those long drive guys are in their own universe as far clubhead speed goes. Sadlowski is a plus handicap. Beautiful swing. Can really play too.

That is not proverbial smoke coming off the ball, that is the surface of the cover being ablated like when the Apollo capsules reentered the atmosphere. Lots of friction baby....

I am surprised he hasn't given the tour a go. The distance is a given. If he concentrated for a year or two on the other aspects of the game, he might be able to do it. I know there is money in long drive with all of the exhibitions he does, but it isn't anything like the money he could make in pro golf even if he was just a middle of the pack-er. He can blow it a long way past Bubba. I know I would like to see it. It would be a pretty compelling story too. Imagine the attention it would get. Surely a lot of sponsors would give him an exemption if he expressed interest in it and there was a bit of buzz around him because he was working with a short game guru like Pelz and maybe Butch took him on to straighten his drives. It would take only a few low scores in a tournament to light up the golf world. That would be a hell of a story to follow.

Has anyone seen coverage of him? Two years ago he made the cut and had no tv time.
The Web.com Tour rarely gets any TV coverage.

He made the cut and is E through 12 holes of his third round for a total of -1 and a share of 53rd. Not too shabby.

I'm impressed. His swing is so unconventionally long for tour play but every course is a pitch and putt so that has to be an advantage

Sadlowski finished out his 3rd round at 1 over then went 1 under in his final round to finish the tournament at -1 for T59 out of 77 players that made the cut earning $2,056. 15 birdies, 43 pars and 14 bogeys for his rounds.

Patrick Rodgers went on a tear in the final round shooting a six under 65 and beat Steve Marino on the second hole of a sudden death playoff.

Man, wouldn't the OEM's be falling all over themselves to get their driver in his hands. Can you imagine the ad campaigns?
