Pick my next set of irons!

Hey all, been playing the Mizuno MP-59 for the last few years and finally decided it was time for a change. I'm looking for an iron that's a little more forgiving but would love to keep the awesome feeling of a forged iron. Any thoughts? So far, I've really enjoyed the Nike VRS Pro Combo, but i'll be back at PGASS and Golfsmith today to narrow it down a bit but I would love if you guys would give me an idea of where to start looking. Let's pretend money is no object :D

Callaway apex if you don't mind some offset. Apex pro if offset is an issue. Combo them if you want less offset and traditional gaps at bottom of bag with length and forgiveness at top end.

If you aren't a callaway guy, ap2 or mizuno h5/850 forged should fit bill nicely as well.

I'm looking heavily at the MP-H5, love the looks and feel, especially with PX 5.5, but the stock C-Taper Lites aren't bad. Maybe try to 15s?

I am a 3 index, and just got the new Wilson FG Tour V4's, and am absolutely thrilled. One of the softest forged on the market, yet very forgiving.

I would not have even thought of Wilson, had I not had a friend who attended the PGA merchandise show and was raving about them.

I went in thinking Ping, Titliest, Mizzy, and ended up like the Wilson's better than all of them. I'd highly recommend giving them a shot if you get a chance.

I switched from MP-59 last year to the 714 AP2. I love the Titliest, but if I had to do it all over again I would have went MP-H5 or MP-15. I was looking for more forgiveness as well w/ Titliest, but I kinda miss the Mizunos

Sorry, but I must disagree with the above posts recommending AP2 (I must be in a foul mood today - I seem to be disagreeing with everyone ;0)) - I tried to make that switch (MP-32 to 710 AP2) and ended up going through several more sets until I came back to the Mizzies (but with new aerotech shafts - woohoo!) The AP2s are very nice irons, but they do NOT feel, look or play like blades. Think of them as a GI club for better players, rather than a more forgiving player's club. If I were the OP, the above mentioned Apex/Pros would be on my short list, as would the Ping S55 (yep, not forged, still awesome!) and the Mizzy MP-15 or JPX forged. I tried the Nike VR Pro Combo in my post AP2 diaspora, and found them to be beautiful to look at but clanky feeling compared to the Mizunos or even the Ping S56 and, therefor, ultimately unsatisfactory for me.

JPX 850 Forged, if you like the feel of the a forged iron they are great. The thing i like about mizuno is they are not doing shaft upcharges this year. while thye may be a little more limited it what they have they still have some very solid shaft offerings.

In my exhaustive iron shootout, my finalists were: Ping i25's, Mizuno MP-54 and MP-H4, Callaway Apex Combo (4-5 Apex 6-G Pros). Eliminated: Ping S55, AP2, JPX-EX forged, TM Tour Preferred MC, Covert 2.0 forged.

I ended up going with the MP-54's.

I have to say with what is out now, I would also consider the new Mizuno JPX-850 Pro, and the Nike Vapor Pro Combos (light years different from VR PC's).

Best advice is to get a real fitting, don't hit off of a lie board, educate yourself on the fitting process (read Tom Wishon's current articles on this). Also, shaft is probably more important than the head, so spend some quality time determining that.
