Putter manufacturers I haven't heard of

Anyone know anything about them?

None of these are 343.692 gram heads with floating face and special sole grind with duck feather grips and satin shaft but I thought i'd let you know about a few putter companies out there i've been told about.

My friend gets a lot of putters sent to him so i'm to give some of these a try. Anybody know anything about any of them?

I have heard of Goolie putters and the Macro putter grips, but I haven't heard of any of the other companies.

 

The gel putters are interesting though. Groove technology seems much like the C groove and AGSi though.

Macro Golf products have been sold on TGW.com for a while now, I think

 

I believe someone else had posted stuff about Fisher putters, and they're alarmingly similar to Frankly Frogs.

 

The others I haven't heard about.

 

It's the Fisher classic blade that my friend's getting sent to him. I agree that the mallets are very similar to the Frankly Frogs.

I don't know how long these putters have been out so I don't know whether they were before C Groove or AGSi (I doubt it though)

 

I don't like the AGSi so it'd be interesting to see if I get on with these.

I tried the gel putters at the Victory golf show. They sponsered a putting challenge. The putter felt nice and putted pretty good. My only problem with the is the colors are kinda crappy. Overall the putter looks very low quality. But it putts nice.

I think Gel Golf is headed up by one of the ex-Yes bigwigs.

 

The putter company I mean; not the 70s psychadelic rock group.

Fischer Golf has been around for years. They were the first ones to come up with the polymer insert and liscenced the technology to Odyssey for the Dual Force series years ago. Without Fischer, Odyssey would never have had the success that they did. But Fischer has never been able to capitalize on that, instead they just liscence the technology out to other manufacturers(Cobra, Golfworks etc). Good product, but generally very bad at marketing it.

 

Macro Golf has also been around for awhile, the grip even got some Tour usages....I want to say Harrison Frazar but that may not be right.

Check out davehicksgolf.com, particularly if your in the UK. He's based not far from where I live, and you can go and get the whole 9 yards fitting expereince and the opportunity to test a range of models and get a putter custom fitted for you by a professional. My brother has one that he gets on with very well and i've seen a few other good local players put them into play too. Well worth a look, some pretty original designs too.
