My latest Mann Krafted beauty . Copper Ma/66 ***new pics added***

Well guys. I just received pics from Lamont that show the ultimate in what can happen when you turn two crazy guys loose with a putter blank. Most of the credit goes to Lamont of course. Lol. But I did see the copper "Catalina" style putter without the milled out cavity. And a a head weight around 365g. Lamont made it happen ! In a big way! Let's see what you guys think and I'll go in to more detail a little later. I hope Lamont doesn't get me for posting these as it isn't finished yet . I couldn't wait to share!Here she is!

yep...lamont has some threadin weights made up to bring the weight back to spec. It is/was a tad light due to not having a neck,,, But with weights back up to around 365G.... On the cavity I asked IF we could do one with a flat sort of anti cavity ala- 350G Newport heads of the past ..... Lamont said his blanks came already milled there but then he had the idea of making a plate the thickness of the milled out cavity and welding it in.. We both decided that leaving the welds visible would look awesome once plated....and I think he nailed it!

Lamont has done some incredible work lately but this one is one a whole different level, wow!

yep..i keep saying it... some of the stuff im seeing from his shop is better than Anything ive seen elsewhere lately... some of the #9 shaped handmades and the handmade center shaft proto I snagged and am using are point blank works of art.... I think his choice to do an "anser" head is really getting his work out there... guys who maybe wouldn't look his way for whatever reason will for the Ma/66 and once there will see the extreme quality that is present in all his builds...

Jack that is an amazingly beautiful putter! Mr. LaMont is a true artist! I hope to be able to do something like that some day!

That's what Lamont says too. Never owned a copper anything so I'll see how she progresses. This one has been in my head since the 1st time I saw putter hoes' bbc 009. This putter was/is my version . The neck I wanted , the looks, the weight and lack of sight line. Everything ! Until talking with Lamont this particular putter seemed an unattainable goal. Because I could never pay the price a bbc 009 like this would cost. I'm sure it would be twice that of a plumbers neck version because of its oddity. This one will be used. Cared for but used a lot. I only own one dedicated wall hanger and its a special early Mann handmade that has specs that don't fit me so it doesn't make sense to use. All the others see the course depending on my mood.

Yep... I thought I loved my 1st one....but this one just blows it away!.... Im going to take a putter buying break ...But my next fall Ill have a new one dreamed up im sure for Lamont to take and run with....

That looks amazing!! Surprisingly thick top line but I guess thats what is giving it all the extra weight. Can't wait to see final pics with cover, grip and paint!

well...this will sound stupid but im honestly not sure... I think they are Threaded tungsten... They are tungsten for sure...but im almost sure Lamont said he would cut threads and screw them in...doesn't matter but that's a detail im not sure about...Ill see this week when she arrives... Im waiting for the usps to deliver her now...Ill post in hand pics as soon as I see her!

Well guys and gals. I've had her in hand now for a couple days. I'm just blown away! Just fits 100% of what I dreamed up. Feels so nice. Sets up as well as anything I've ever touched. Can't wait to get her outside. It's rainy here so maybe by Saturday evening or Sunday I can. for now here's some pics in hand. I also love the new Mannkrafted head covers. Nice felt lined, leather and embroidered logos. With a very strong magnetic closure. Very nice ! . As one of my nephews, he's eight, said the other day,"that's gorgemous!" He was talking about a newly painted football helmet, but idea still applies here! Not normally a fan of flat or wide toplines, however in copper with milling marks visible, it just works.

I would usually agree Mitchell. To get the weight back up the wide topline and weights were needed. But because Lamont did such a Job with it. Milling marks and all it works. Really has a superb feel to it. I hope the storms go away so I can roll it outside this weekend.
