Golf club fitting in central illinois: illini golf headquarters

Due to a closing of my local golf shop, went to Peoria to visit illini . Though small the staff there is very helpful and knowledgeable. Was fitted for a set of ping g30s, the fitter told me step by step what info he was gathering to determine the specs for my irons. No high pressure when the software suggested graphite over steel. If I wanted to go steel that was okay. Tried the graphite and found them to give a great feel and ball flight increased besides swing speed. No rush to make my decision and willing to give options, that's a plus. Can fit you with other manufacturers as well. ( I am a big fan of ping because they started custom fitting for us common folk ) If you are looking give them a try. Also found out they are in the top 100 in the USA for ping fitters.

There's an older gentleman there who has been a top Ping fitter for years. I had mostly good experiences with them when I lived in the area, but my last encounter with them left a bad taste in my mouth (clubwork related). Glad you enjoyed your experience with them, and I hope your new sticks are awesome!

We lost the pro from Dick's who was very good due to the massive change , then the off course shop closed this year. Illini actually knew how to size up better than both.
