Kuro Kage XT, fuji 7.2 TS, matrix 7m3, aldila rogue 125 testing

So currently i've been looking for a new driver shaft to replace my tour ad bb 7x. The BB is a premium shaft and all but i saw that the dispersion was way too much for me because of the excessive kick the tour ad lines give. I have a 117mph average clubbed speed so i've been curious on testing low/low profile shafts with very stable tips. The shafts i tested were, kuro kage XT 70 TX, fuji speeder 7.2 TS x, matrix 7m3 x, and aldila rogue 70 TX 125msi. (and also my BB 7x in comparison)

As most shaft hoes know, the fuji speeder 7.2 TS and matrix 7m3 X probably feel very similar to most of the people that tested the two. Extremely stiff feeling from the handle to the tip with tight dispersion and low feel. Both shafts gave me spin rates at about 2350 with medium launch. In comparison to the BB 7x, the BB felt like a stiff flex with high launch and decent spin at 2500.

Now for the two big name shafts on tour. Aldila rogue 70 tx 125 msi felt smooth but extremely stable. It also produced very good numbers with a spin rate of 2300. No doubt about, the Aldila rogue lived up to its name with its incredible feel and precise kickpoint and stability. Those of you how have smooth transitions or do not like to pull hard with the shaft on the downswing will love the feeling of this shaft and will produce prime numbers.

Finally, the Kuro kage xt 70 tx. Shafts feel different depending on how the golfer swings, but i tend to have a very hard transition at the top. The Kuro kage definitely felt the best for me with its extremely stable tip and mid section. It gave me the tightest dispersion out of all the shafts and also the best spin rates at 2150. the launch was a penetrating/medium ball fight and i could tell my misses were smaller because of the extreme stability of the tip. Overall, i hit the kk xt the farthest out of all shafts with the best club head speed and dispersion. In comparison, the kuro kage xt plays similar to the fuji 7.2 and matrix 7m3 but with more feel and a bit tighter dispersion. In the end, the kk xt will definitely be staying in the bag for a while.

Everyone I've talked who hits the XT ends up bagging it, myself included. Such a great shaft. I've hit a lot of high end stuff (no Rogue yet) and I've not experienced any shaft with this type of feel and performance.

The kuro kage xt doesn't get as much love as the rogue 125 on wrx for some reason, but the people I've talked to say it (Kuro kage xt) is better.

[/quote] no problem, i just felt that a review would be very helpful on the forum because i had trouble finding reviews on the XT. I ended up just buying the shaft without hitting it even once. thankfully it was everything that mitsubishi said it was!

I've seen amazing deals for them on Rakuten, $209.00 for a 70TX uncut. Add in the conversion fee and shipping and your still around the $235ish range. Sounds like a deal to me!! :taunt:

Would you say the feel is somewhat similar to the original flower band WB 73x??

[/quote] as in i bought the shaft, and then tested all the shafts on a monitor bc it was hard for me to find any club fitters with a fixed tip on the XT :/

[/quote] I have the Whiteboard 83x in my 3 wood. In all honesty, they do not feel too similar with each other because the Kuro Kage xt is just so much more stable. The whiteboard definitely feels a bit smoother with more spin. something that i would need in a fairway wood.

Thank you, that is exactly what I wanted to hear haha. I have a WB in my driver and sometimes it feels a little whippy, and it does get spiny. I was looking at the XT, but wasn't sure. Thanks for your input!!
