Quick question about the normalization- every time I have had a trackman fitting the results say "data normalized for 80 degrees with no wind and a premium ball". Is that bad or misleading? I assume it was adjusting to the typical crosswind at the outdoor area I have done fittings

sorry, missed your question. Not necessarily bad if the fitter is openly explaining to you how the normalization works. 80 degrees with no wind and a premium ball will always take whatever the true reading was and increase launch angle, ball speed, lower spin, increase carry, shot apex. If someone didn't know their data was being 'normalized' it would look like they were nutting it with the set up they were demoing. Ive seen it done.

I always associated high spin with lots of curve. Why is that low spin driver shots curve more (and not less)?

Think of it this way. Is it easier or harder to hook or slice a PW than a 6 iron?

Thanks for the explanation. It was normalized with my existing clubs so i guess it is at least comparable

All "D Plane" stuff. Much easier to tilt the spin axis when the loft isn't working against you to become the driving factor in spin direction. The more loft, the more the loft becomes the dominant force.
