Fuji 657 Boron

Any experience?

I know it's an 'old school' kinda shaft, but I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this shaft. If so, how did you find it to play? Any reviews or incite?

I just fitted up the 3wd with the 857ti and WHOA is this a nice FW shaft. I was wondering (and hoping) if the 657 would be a nice compliment to the 857.

857 is a great shaft... I dont have the same feeling for the 657 Boron.. unless you need high launch and high spin.

Man, talk about the 'kiss of death' for a shaft....

 

 

The bend profile (little box chart on fuji shafts) looks very similar to the TW64....any incite out there?

Nothing like raising an ancient post from the dead but I just installed a 657 Boron stiff flex in a 425 TP Shallow and it is a low launch mid-spin bomber! I tipped it 1.5" and it is long. The shaft loads like no other, explosive release at impact for me. This is one of those shafts where if you find the right swing/lag the shaft can just explode through impact for amazing distance. Wish I could find an X to try but they are so freakin old I was amazed to find a brand new R510 TP graphics 657 Boron in stiff! uncut!

Sounds awesome, Mark! Man, I wish I could find an 857 somewhere - heard it's EPIC in a 3 wood.
