PGA Championship Question

I bought tickets on StubHub for the practice round Wednesday for this years PGA championship and in the brochure for the tournament it says everyone needs to wear their tickets in clear showing for officials to see you have proper identification. I was wondering if they send you lanyards when you buy your tickets and i didnt recieve any because i went through stubhub, or if they give you some at the door, or if you have to bring your own? Any one know?

I've always had to get my own lanyard. Truth be told, though, they don't really check tickets (at least to the tournaments I've been to) once you get into the gate. If your ticket gets you into one of those fancy air conditioned venues, though, that's another matter.

Yeah, we got Wanamaker tickets so we get into the AC venue. Thanks for the info, we will have to pick some up!

Cool, I hope you have fun. I was at last year's PGA on the final day and the atmosphere was great (even though I endured the pouring rain and delays). I bet there will be more security with the Wanamaker Club this year as last year there were tons of complaints at Valhalla that people kept swapping out their badge to other people.

You'll have a lot of fun. I enjoyed the Straits course because if you sit up on some of the dunes, you can see multiple holes.

I havent been to a tournament since it was at Hazeltine in Chaska, MN in 2002. So i am really looking forward to it and cant wait to see a Straits course because those are my favorite looking courses. Last year was a good one with a lot of big names at the top. I bet it was an experience to remember!

I have heard there are some pretty sweet spots, so hopefully i can pick one and stake it out. But it is also a practice round so Ill want to interact with the golfers. Theyre so intimidating to because of how talented they are haha

I had Wanamaker tickets last year and just purchased a lanyard at the shop right inside the gate.

Made it easy since I was in and out of that area due to weather.

Thanks you! Do you remember how much it cost? Because i dont wanna be spending $20 on a lanyard behind the gates haha, even though it would be a cool souvenir

I honestly don't remember, but I think it's rather cheap compared to most things in there. I feel like it was $5 or something. Definitely wasn't 20.

Thats not bad. As long as it was reasonable I am all for it. Ill probably just get one there. Memorabilia and itll help keep my ticket on me. Thanks!

Scenic views and we caught a great breeze off the water.
