Altered Course is the worst show I've ever seen in mynlife

Can't wait until the weekend warriors that mimic everything Golf Channel start running full speed into the greens tearing up everything in sight.

 

My opinion is based off the first and last 3 minutes of this show I'll ever watch, but it is so opposite of what everything golf is about. I could start a list of what I mean but I don't have an extra two hours and there must be a character limit on a post.

I agree, they have taken this Big Break thing too far, it's not even interesting. They need a new concept, they have completely just worn it out. I can't even watch 1 minute of it, I have to immediately change the channel....even if I have to watch a Lifetime Original Movie!!

Big Break will always suffer from them wanting to make it like other reality shows and include weird personalities. If they had one where strictly the best players were chosen I feel that it would be more popular. Not only is altered course not golf, but the players aren't that great of players. Although Big Break in the current format has probably worn out its' welcome.

Just have a show that's like "Live at from the Range" that they do every year for the Masters Monday-Wednesday, just film the range all day long and talk to players about their bags, etc. That's what I want to see!

I watched one episode and it seems like it went to commercial every 3 minutes. It was actually quite annoying, and I'll usually watch anything that has to do with golf. I didn't even mind the absurdity of it.

Ha. The first thing I thought about when I read the title was my wife sitting on the couch watching Bachelor in Paradise... or whatever that show is called. THAT is the worst reality show ever... but I digress.

I had it all setup on my DVR and now it just sits there. I watched about 15 minutes of the first show and never went back. I need to go erase it so we have more room for Dora the Explorer and Dinosaur Train.

My wife loves watching Naked and Afraid and saying "I could never do this!", I love watching Big Break and saying "I could do this!"

I think we've got something here..... No idea what though.

And yes, this was the worst show I have ever seen. And I watched full episodes of "Temptation Island".

I knew I wasn't the only one. We apparently have a lot guys who have never been in a relationship or turned on MTV before.

Yeah it's bad, but there is much worse. Trust us.

The best reality show that the Golf Channel has had, next to the Big Break, is Highway 18. It only ran one season, but it was like the Amazing Race with golf. It took place in the Southeast part of the US, but it was cool and interesting. Not everybody was a pro prospect, but they could play golf. It took brains, golfing ability, and strategy. It only aired for one season. I was hoping that they would run a second season, because I wanted to see how to audition for the show.

Id also watch the hell out of an 'on the range' type show before every tournament. Just a live feed of the range, no commentary needed.

I was actually a fan of the big break, they certainly could have added a little more drama and excitement to it i.e encourage head to head competiveness, long drive contest, closest to the tee par-3's etc.. But overall show was worth watching.

This new version, deleted dvr'd episodes since the first one. It's awful. This was a poor effort to be different within golf. Bring back the big break.

I'm not sure how (or why) I saw on YouTube, but it was like, bikini golf? Some of those girls were pretty liberal with feeling "adequately covered" by what amounted to the amount of cloth I have in one sock.

This show was worse than I could ever imagine a golf show being......where did they get the idea that changing the course and running to score for a time would interest the masses who have nothing to base the fitness/golf/speed aspect to or ever will??????

Golf Channel programing is sad all around. Only about 5 hrs of actual programing replayed for 20 hrs of the day.

Combine "Amazing Race" with golf? Foursomes are both timed and scored (stroke = minute) over a series of courses?
