Those scripted reality competition shows are the worst. GC needs to get the rights to Shell's Wonderful World of Golf and play marathons of that.

I watched the whole series. It was entertaining at times but what I found is they weren't that good of golfers?!? I saw more chunked and awful shots in this shows season then I've ever seen in my whole life! No idea how this beat big break out. Big break players were legit and could golf this is just who can make a bogey the fastest

I'm pretty sure running 200m sprint over hills carrying a bag has SOME negative effects on a golf swing. I can't see how it wouldn't.

I'm not saying it wouldn't but c'mon the most they ran was 400 yards on a par 5 & still couldn't make a birdie. Not sure I saw any birdies during entire series. I mean they had chip off from 15-20 yards off green and it was a rarity if somebody got up and down. And they were running 15 yards there lol trust me they weren't any good lol

So because my off day is usually only Wednesday and I get off the course around noon and pick up my son from daycare. We watch whatever is on demand from the golf channel. Watched the entire season. I don't know about you, but even while I was in the Marines, I don't think sprinting down after hitting a 285 yard drive, flushing a wedge to 6 ft and then hauling a** to sink the putt for birdie was ever in the cards from me. They may not be the best ball strikers in the world, but they are definitely athletes. I have a firm belief that some of those kids may take some people's money on a normal course, under normal conditions. I saw not one set of super game improvement irons, Scotty Cameron's everywhere and the majority of them had solid swings.

Ps. The show still sucked balls.

I typically stay out of these threads. I generally like most things on the golf channel and I rarely have a problem with golf announcers, coverage, etc. But yeah, this show is terrible

not what most people who play golf would enjoy watching. They need to have a big break format,without all the
game playing,trick shot gotchas,and just let the group (no pros) play golf to decide the winner.
They would have a lot more people watching, imo

Great show but I couldn't watch any episodes because I had to watch repeats of the infomercial for the Hammer X driver. Does anybody else think this show could win an Emmy?

I understand why people want to hate on the show, but it's something different, at least they are trying something different and for some it didn't work. I thought it was interesting. A lot more than watching black and white shell's wonderful world of golf and players who my grandpa grew up watching on. Most people who want to see that are just old and stuck in their ways and anything new that includes running they look at it and go what the hell is this s***.

Yeah there were some bad shots. They weren't pros at all. It would be what the average golfer would look like out there sprinting on a hole for 5 minutes. If you don't like it, don't watch and stop complaining about it being on.

Google speed golf, crazy how fast they can play 18 and post some really good scores running the entire course. I watched a special on it once somewhere and it was way more entertaining that this show could ever hope to be.

Today, we play ___ and the highest score is eliminated.

Tomorrow, we play ___ and the highest score, and anyone over 75 is eliminated.

The next day, we play ___ and the highest score, and anyone failing to make a birdie is eliminated.

...that might be a short series, but you could run 3-4 groups through in one "season" and have each group's champion play off in a match play event as the "finale".

No glass, no flop wall, no poker games, no running...just golf.

Between the PGA, Web.com, LPGA, Euro Tour, College, Mini Tours, Asian Markets .... and so forth.... I'm wondering why there isn't CONSTANTLY golf being played on the golf channel.

Just let me watch people golf. Don't care who or where. ANYTHING is better than watching people sprint with clubs and try to hit shots under a time constraint or whatever that crap is.

While AC was not the best it can have positive effects. My boys, 6 and 9 yr olds, ate it up and keep asking for more golf. Gives me an excuse to get to the course and that's a big plus for my game.

This was what I was thinking.

Maybe even a team kind of thing? Get 4 or 5 teams of mini tour guys from the same areas. Have the teams go up against each other a few times then get it down to the 5 best avg scorers individually have them in a bracket playoff with the 1 seed having a first round bye
