Golfsmith Kudos

I have to post about a experience I just had with Goldsmith. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a Taylormade visor. It had R15 on one side and SLDR on the other. When it arrived it had aeroburner on it instead of SLDR.Not a huge deal but since it was wrong I called and told them about it. I talked to Claude and he apologized and said he would send me out a replacement and to keep the wrong one for the inconvenience. That was cool, two hats for the price of one. He told me call back if I didn't get the right item. Few days later I got the replacement and it was the same as the first. I called back again last Thursday and got a hold of Travis and told him what happened. He told me he would check it out himself and send me a email before he left that day. Later in the day I got a email from him saying he hadn't figured out what went wrong yet but he would keep me updated. Friday I got another email saying they were still trying to determine what went wrong. First thing this morning I received another email saying that evidently the visor had been discontinued and the picture on their website was wrong. He said to keep both visors and he refunded my total purchase including shipping. I emailed him back saying I felt guilty doing that since I did get 2 nice hats and that I had no problem paying for them. He immediately emailed me back and said that's not how they worked and I deserved the item that I ordered. He then refunded my payment. Awesome communication and superb customer service has earned them a grateful customer.

+1 for Golfsmith, but why would it be R15/SLDR? SLDR/Jetspeed were '14 and R15/Aerburner are '15.

Properly executed customer service. Probably cost them $15 or so if that, and will have a dedicated customer to boot!

I realize it was a small dollar amount so it was a no brainer for them. Having been in sales for the last 30 years the most impressive part for me was the guys saying they were going to keep me updated, and then doing it. If I tell a customer I'll be there or call them at 10 Tuesday morning I do it. Many of my competitors don't which is good for me.
