Phil needs?

He's never played that way. Not going to change that now.

Just like Tiger, Phil is getting old. Lots of people, especially the casual fan, don't realize he's 45.

Maybe it's time to move on from Butch. Doesn't seem to be helping him at all. If it was not for his short game he would be shooting the same or worse scores than Tiger. Maybe he needs to dial it back? Has not won in two years.

He's had a great career, it's somewhat winding down and he's still got a lot of game and is handling being in contention less very gracefully, he still gives great interviews and seems to be enjoying himself.

Phil doesn't need any help. He's walked the walk, and he finally knows it.

He needs a breakthrough in psoriatic arthritis medication. Although the Enbrel has helped him significantly, I have a friend who deals with Phil regularly, and he indicates the arthritis really bothers him frequently and it's amazing he can play golf at a high level at all.

Phil has had a sensational career and both won and lost, with dignity and grace.

He's taken younger players under his wing and helped them find their way.

He's given back to the game and treated every fan with respect and consideration.

Phil is the Arnold Palmer of his generation and needs nothing.

His swing is such that he'll never be that accurate, even if he does dial it back because he is so steep coming into the ball. He needs to improve his lag putting. He's one of the worst lag putters on tour, which contributes to his terrible ranking in three putt avoidance.

I do wonder how much the PA plays into it compared to the normal aging curve. We'll probably never know.

I'm not ready for him to be done. I watched him win the Phoenix Open with my dad sometime in the '90s and we are both huge fans. I hope he can find a way to get a few more wins...maybe surprise us all and contend in a US open.

But like somebody else said I think his arthritis condition affects him more than most people think.

I don't think he'll get another major, but I'd be surprised if he didn't win at least one more tour event. I think if he sorts out the long game a bit he should be fine.

Is a hall of famer

Seems to have a dedicated and happy life with his family.

I think he probably wants to play better, but coming up with an actual need is a tough one.

They just showed of those who made all 4 cuts in the majors in 2015, total related to par, Phil was something like 8th place.

Don't think it can be said any better. Father Time has caught up with him and he's just enjoying the ride now.

Some of the best golf I have seen him play was in 2013 when he won the Open Championship. That week he seemed to take more 3/4 and sawed off swings and struck his irons beautifully. I wish he would do more of that. But damn what a career he has had to this point.
