Fall in New England, especially while the leaves are changing. Great scenery and most people have already put their clubs away for the winter so it's a lot less crowded. Great weather conditions too typically.

Sunrise on a dewy yet fairly dry course. Firm enough fairways that you get some roll, but you can still stop it on the greens. Plus, you get your club cleaned on every shot.

Early morning before the temperature heats up for the day, or late in the evening when you can almost have the course to yourself and you can take some extra swings to correct an errant shot and watch the sun go down.

Early morning in Northern Michigan, cloudless sky, light wind and 70 F. Light dew, the smell of freshly mown grass, perfectly raked bunkers, unmarked greens. Sublime. Although late afternoon with the same weather and the course to yourself is also really special.

Overcast or sunny warm with lots of wind. I love the wind. I play constantly in it and other hate it. So I feel I have the advantage. But cloudy and 70 would be idea. I hate hitting through my own shadow. Or into the sun....almost forgot. I hate playing in morning dew. Rain ok. But for some reason a heavy dew just makes me mad. I feel like I'm being shorted with sunshine yet wet conditions

I love fall golf. High 60's low 70's, slightly overcast, near windless, and slightly spongey, but not soft. Maybe 15 yards of roll type spongey.

I occasionally like a round on a course that is usually firm, right after a soaking rain. Has to be soaking enough that everyone on the course comes in and has no interest in going back out.

Least favorite is probably 25+ mph wind. No fun. Sometimes I won't even go out.

Early morning, middle of summer, 80 - 85 deg, 50% humidity. I shoot my best in these types of conditions. I will golf in pretty much any weather though. Last winter we were golfing here in Milwaukee until the end of December. So pretty much anything above freezing so long as the course is open.

My favorite is Fall golf. Too cool to sweat, and too warm to need more than a sweater or vest. We're at 7500' altitude with humidity normally around 5-10%, and if there's no wind, the sun is warm even if it'. In the mountains of southern New Mexico, in Fall, everything seems to have that golden glow and the air is just different than any other time of year.

85 degrees out, sun shining, no humidity, and not having to wait on every shot. Those are my ideal playing conditions. I could care less about the course conditions, since I'll still enjoy myself.

35-40ºF, calm winds. Don't necessarily like cold weather, but an empty course trumps all.

Weather conditions: Dry, 70*-80* Fahrenheit, with light wind

Course conditions: Freshly cut and rolled greens, freshly mowed fairways and rough, no stupid pin placements, raked bunkers, and few golfers to retard play. A twosome in a cart should be able to [u]comfortably[/u] play an 18-hole round in under 2 1/2 hours.

Morning, when the dew starts leaving the greens and the mowers finished. Temp in the 60's, moderate breeze, sunny or partly sunny with no haze.

Afternoon, after the peak hours, timed so that dusk settles in toward the end of the round. Then I can watch the deer and other wildlife start to settle in and reclaim the course for their own.

I love wind, especially left to right (I'm RH). Hitting a high cut 40yds. left of the target and watching it get blown back is just hilarious to me for some reason.
