Club Fitter in Hampton Roads, Virginia

Good morning,

 

I recently moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia (part of the greater Hampton Roads area) and am looking to go to a club fitter for a set of irons.

 

Can anyone give me any recommendations in the area? I would love to hit on a range (with a trackman), not a simulator. (I came from Northern Virginia and went to the Westfields Fitting Studio which was amazing).

Not sure of any places that'll actually fit you at a grass range, but there's a place in Hilltop, can't remember the name, that'll fit you. Yes, it's a simulator, but the guys in there are pretty knowledgeable.

As great as that would be there is nothing like that around here. Closest thing would be Golfsmith in Richmond but that's still gonna be on a sim. The options around here are as follows: Addicted to Golf in Hilltop Shopping Center, Golf Galaxy by Towne Center, and Golf Headquaters in Greenbrier. All will be on a sim but in terms of friendly service, it's really hard to beat Dave Pierce at Golf Headquarters!

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. I lived her for a long time and recently moved back not knowing much about this stuff at all. I still remember the old Nevada Bobs and Edwin Watts!

I think that if I am serious about getting fit, it will be worth the drive to either the guy in Richmond or to Northern Virginia to the Westfield Studios (which I have used before with great acclaim).

Andrew Hodson in Richmond has a grass range with Trackman. I haven't used him but heard he is good.
