I will never ever take up for or agree on the record with Chamblee again. That guy just lost me . Did anyone else see him and McCords new swing infomercial ? Some sort of ninja golf instruction. Wth. All I could think about was rexkwondo .... Lol. ( of Napoleon dynamite fame ) Please tell me it's a joke ? The guy who seemingly knows it all isn't hawking a swing thought that includes ninja training ?!?!

I've always thought Chamblee should have been a politician. He has great hair, great teeth, and he spouts figures that make it sound like he knows what he's talking about, but when you analyze what he said, it's just as dumb as what you'd hear from the guy on the next bar stool, and probably motivated from the same place. He still maintains that competition was tougher 50 years ago than today, which is why he's said that he doesn't care if Tiger wins 25 majors, he won't be the GOAT.

I've seen the commercial and kind of want to try it; though i did martial arts for like 10 years so I guess it has some appeal on both old and new hobbies.

im not knocking the martial arts mind you ..I....But it so reminded me of the line in TIN cup where he is giving the doctor lady her 1st lesson and shes wearing all that crap from the golf channel.... he says something like " take all that s*** off .... your a smart woman for gods sake...don't you know the work of hustlers when you see it ?" I instantly thought of that when I saw McCord and Brandel talking up the video ... wonder of he sent Tiger a free copy?

To me Chamblee has always been a bit of a joke. Like someone on here said I think he missed his calling as a politician. I have really been enjoying Duval though. Even though his game really crashed and burned I still respect his perspective and he seems insightful most of the time. Chamblee just sounds like another talking head.

Hahaha, Rexkwando. Spot on, I saw that infomercial this morning and could not believe what I was seeing/hearing. Just terrible for both of them but particularly surprising that Chamblee was in there.

This particular method may be champagne, it may be snake oil, but I get a real giggle out of the notion that there's some "Ancient Chinese Secret" with regard to body mechanics. There are all sorts of traditional martial arts techniques which are bio-mechanically suboptimal or downright harmful. There's a famous turn-of-the-last-century photo of a bunch of Baguazhang masters meeting in Beijing. More than half of them were walking with canes. Hint: this was not because of some traditional Baguazhang Cane form.

We know far more about how the body works because of the empirical techniques of modern Western medicine than anyone who lived a thousand years ago in China.

Tathata is a wonderful program that is helping 4 of my students right now all make major strides in their game. I heard about it years ago from some people at the PGA Show telling me...its coming...its building, and its finally here!

If you go to GetTathata.com you will see a video where [b]Brandel & Gary admit they arent getting paid at all[/b]. They are students of Tathata. Do you really think they would go out of their way and risk their repuation and endorse a training program they didnt believe in, for FREE?

There are many top instructors in the country going through the training to be a Tathata instructor.

A crescendo of drums beating while a Tommy Bahama clone tells us about riding a surfboard in the least comprehensible sentence ever uttered on TV? That Brandel and McCord lent their name to THAT, for free, entirely underscored the OP's point.

Now let's stop that assumption and realize that this "magical" breakthrough is nothing different than what every other 50+ white male in Scottsdale is trying to sell while leveraging his late parents' estate to do it. Magical supplements for your dog. Ion-infused juice. A spot in the first colony on Mars. And now folks, we have martial arts-based golf using principles passed down through thousands of years. It's like the suburban version of the magic leprechaun flute.

so tell me about the training white mamba? What type of swing does Tathata teach? What are the methods? What dont you like about it? You dont even know what it is, yet you bash it?

I could care less what the video quality, music, or behind the scenes footage looks like....i care about the training, how to swing the golf club like an athlete...how to play golf with strength like every other sport. the entire 60 days you train along and mimic the greatest golfers of all time. Snead, Hogan, Nicklaus, Woods...pretty good people to train with right? Theres a reason its the buzz and people on tour are doing it...as well as beginners...

Theres nothing within the training you can knock...so you pick on the music and production while you make assumptions and MORE ignorant comments about an instructor you know nothing about...

Talk to me in a couple years and tell me how "awful" and "Wacky" Tathata is...
