Most versatile lob wedge?

I use my 58-8 bent one degree weak for almost everything around the greens.

I've ground the sole down a bit in the heel to allow for opening it up a bit more.

I love lots of wedges and at one point, when I lived in FL, probably had 25 at one time, incl Vokeys, nakashima, etc. Used 'em a lot too since I never seemed to reach/hit greens, lol.
After all that, I would have to say that for flexibility my favorite is likely my current Scor 60* lob. Dual sole is a real winner for me.

Those old Callaway X-Tour wedges were wonderful. I have 3 of them still.

If you have a shallow AOA on those shots where you lay the face open, a lot of heel relief won't hurt you. If you come in a bit steeper, you might miss the greater effective bounce the club with less heel relief gives you on those shots. While I think that it's possible to find the ideal grind for your own wedge, bear in mind that optimal really means most acceptable compromise for you. Finding the point where the compromises are acceptably small on both ends of the spectrum is the goal. Thanks for listening.

Just replaced an ATV with a Cleveland RTX 2.0... 60*

I had good results with the ATV, but I'm looking for more of a softer touch to play flop shots.

I received the 'tour issue' 58* ATV yesterday , promptly shafted it up with an X100 and gripped it last night. Got to practice a bit today at lunch with it. Looks like it'll be a keeper. Started with a few full shots off of fluffy range grass, no chunks and farthest shots were just shy of 90 yards. Afterwards I was on the chipping green trying out various trajectories and touch shots, a very easy club to feel comfortable with. The 58 loft might prohibit me from hitting Phil-type skyballs like my 64 could but I was able to get under the ball easily and felt pretty confident with it very quick. I'll post pics later if anyone's interested but I'm glad I picked this up and like many of you before have said, this is a very versatile lob wedge.

Congrats on the new wedge. If you feel like second guessing yourself, Cleveland's DSG grind wedges are extremely versatile.

Which Tour version did you go with? Wide, Medium or Thin ATV grind? I almost ordered a Thin sole ATV but am going to go with EF, when the timing is right.

[/quote] I'm assuming it's the wide or the medium, haven't seen others to compare but I couldn't imagine it being considered thin. I will put pics up tonight , maybe you can tell me.
