Anyone have trouble going to 915f from 913f?

I was pretty sold on the 915 upgrade....swapped out the driver and looked to do the same with the 3w.

Without getting into my specific reasons (for now)....I'm finding it much harder to transition to the 915f (from a 913f) than I did to switch from the 910D3 to the 915D3.

Interested in hearing if anyone else is having similar experiences.

It took some getting used to for me, the 915. I wound up moving the ball back in my stance a touch and now I am crushing it. Sounds dumb, but a minor adjustment and I am loving it.

Hookasaurusrex. Crank it wide open. D2 or c3 I think. And ball back in stance. Then it will go straight. I have a 915f 4 wood presently. And I've had 2 3 woods. Took me till now to learn how to not hook it half the time. Super hot head. But it sits dead closed in A1

I'm still gaming the 910F but I recently ordered a 915. Through testing I didn't find the look to be different at all other than the new alignment aid. The 915 sounded better, and the ball flight suited my eye much better. I'm pretty excited to make the transition, personally, but if you aren't liking the 915, why play it? Unless you hit the 915 much better than the 913, there's no reason to take the 913 out of your bag. Confidence in your clubs plays a huge roll in how you play, so don't force yourself to play the 915 just because it's the "new and improved" version

I had a 16.5 915f and I felt like I couldn't hit it off of the ground. Everything seemed low on the face and a hair spinny. I replaced it with a 915fd 15*. I know that it's suppose to be geared towards lowering launch and spin but I feel that the smaller profile will allow me to hit it higher on the face and get it coming out hotter with less spin.

That's what I'm struggling on...unless there's just some untapped potential from the 915F I'm not locked into yet.

It is definitely longer, but the dispersion is way higher and I hit a lot more 'what the *** was that' shots - big bananas, some near tops. Maybe those will fade with time. Part of it is just a new club but in my hands it just feels...floaty, somehow...or a little bit bloated? More like I'd expect a mini-driver to feel. I would look into the Fd but it looks hard to hit off the deck....maybe I'm just misinformed there.

The 913F just feels more compact and less wobbly through impact....normally I'd call the kinda feedback I'm trying to describe a shaft issue but I'm hitting the same exact shaft in each one.

I hit it very well and much better than the 913, but like bladehunter said it's the first 3 wood that tends to go left for me. I'm not sure if it's the lie angle but I've hooked it more than I've hooked any 3 wood. I have to set up for a fade to hit it straight, which is fine, but it has me thinking about trying something else. Good for good, it's the best I've owned. But tends to go a little left for me.

Another round in with mine. It's actually a 5 wood with 3 wood length shaft. I'm playing it all the way open with is plus 1.5 degrees loft. So at 16.5. It's longer than the 910 f 15 degree it replaced for sure. By a lot. At least 10-15 yards. I am also playing it in the full upright setting. All that has lead to finally hitting it straight. It irritates me that it took so much adjustment to do that. But once I found its sweet spot it's Really easy to hit.

Actually the other way around. Went from (5w &3w) 906f2 fairways to 913f fairway. Never could get comfy with the 913f. Picked up some 915f fairways and haven't looked back.

Would still be playing the 906f fairways, but the 5 wood face caved in after all those years of playing it with one swing on a glow ball in a night golf tournament.

Well I guess it's tough to say without actually seeing your swing or shots but have you been fitted for the shaft? That will certainly affect your dispersion so maybe consider that? You can also throw your 913 shaft in the 915 head and give that a try.

As far as the Fd, I don't think it's much harder to hit off the deck if you're a good ball striker, but unless spinning the ball too much is your issue, I think the Fd would only hurt your dispersion.

A new club is always going to take some time to get used to, but if it takes more than one or two range sessions, you should consider the possibility that the shaft isn't right for you, because it's pretty unlikely that your swing changed.

I'm usually 10-15 yards short of green when I go driver , 913fd 3 wood

However, I'm somehow on the green with driver 915F 5 wood.

Same shaft in both clubs.

Can't really argue against that.

The sound at Impact took some time getting use to. I do feel that the 915s have hotter faces resulting in faster ball speeds. U can hear it at impact, the ball "sizzzzles"

I've been switching out the exact same shaft between the two heads - not even two copies of the same shaft....the same gd ad di 8s. That's part of what is stumping me about it. I was thinking I could just swap them out and have basically the same club with a few more yards and some more forgiveness, but I feel like the 915 just has an entirely different weighting and 'balance' through the swing. It feels a lot 'whooshier'. I understand if that doesn't make sense.
