As a lefty I don't mind it, I mean I had someone make me a Fleetwood style putter. I would definitely have gone to David for one if an option but just isn't. 

 

Not trying to take anything away from him either, love his work.

Yeah I think David only has the Softail for lefties and probably not sure how much longer he'll have that head shape.

I agree. I'd own more than one mills if he had another shape available. Only softtails left.

Looks more like a fastback with a sloped heel than a Huey to me.  Huey has massively different bumpers.  But a ton of makers have borrowed from David and his father’s designs.

I believe that's a sycamore but could be mistaken as I've never owned this model!

Evandy is correct, definitely a sycamore. My new one I’m waiting on will be this model with the back trimmed off to look more like a mid-mallet.

Slightly cut back sycamore, bullet sole, flow neck into pencil shaft with leather grip and hc, ended up in stainless (although I ordered carbon🤷🏼), 342 gram head weight. Similar head size to my Carbon Ringo (right at 4” blade length), but a slightly heavier feel (330 vs 342). Officially ordered on 3/16.

Love the longer flow neck and stamping is on point.  How's the toe hang?

 

BUT I'd be peeved from the material change.  Last one I ordered the alignment aid was incorrect.  Especially if it took 5 months!

And I just realized looking at the pics that it is stamped "HAKD MADE" in the cavity.  Now I truly have a "1 of 1" 🤣

also that bullet sole is cool. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one go end to end like that

The pencil shafts are an up charge option. Kind of a throw back to the old Roman numeral Spaulding series.

You guys with all your fancy new stuff 🙂. Here’s some earlier David’s stuff. The “buster” I had made for my dad after his dads nickname. Approximately 16-17 yrs old.  The hi-toe fleetwood I had made for my brother and was one of David’s first of this design.

This is a “new to me” putter.

Asked David about the Peppi because my memory was a little fuzzy. He said it is a very early version of the Ming.

This is the first Ming I’ve ever owned.

It really is a nice piece: soft lines, nice deep milling, and a great feeling rolling the ball.

Picked this up on eBay a few weeks back for sub-$300. You can tell me if it wasn’t as great of a deal as I thought, but to me it was a score.

These days, anything hand-made with TP mills on it for under $300 is a score! She looks great!

I've been perusing this thread, and I checked out David's website a few years ago (and just revisited it again), but I still can't tell the difference...can someone explain the Dale head vs the Trad II head?

 

Some of the most beautiful ones I've seen are Trad II and Dales, but I am clearly missing something because they seem to be super similar in shape to me (I'm not referring to the Trad II Flat T--I can see the bumper difference in those).
