Medalist Golf Club - Tiger Tees

So apparently The Medalist Golf Club has undergone a renovation and there are now Tiger Tees that make the course play over 7500 yards and the difficulty rating has increased dramatically......

 

In related new Greg Norman has put all of his homes in America up for sale, pulled the drain plug on his yacht, leased his Plane to Netjets and will be undergoing long term inpatient counseling at an undisclosed location.

I've no idea about the course sadly, but if they have the space and money, I say good luck to them. Different strokes for different folks and all that. If some of the members wanted it extended, then the club should listen to them (as opposed to extending it for Open competition purposes, which doesn't normally have much benefit for the members).

But with all the talk about over long courses, juiced equipment etc. The most important thing is.... Teeing it forwards. I'm very fortunate with my course having lots of quiet periods where I can get on and scoot round as fast as I want, but if there is a busy period I want players using tees that suit their ability.

If a bunch of single figure teenagers want to play the tips, fine, so long as they walk quick and keep up. The problem is average players, who are not wrx good, wanting to get their money's worth. Only takes one such group in the morning and one in the afternoon and most courses will get buggered up for everyone else. If more marshals are needed then clubs should prioritise this - it's that odd 5 hour (rather then 3.5 hour) round that winds up the missus indoors and ultimately hurts participation.

Since Tiger has 106 world wide wins they will need the Jr and Sr class in Jupitor to hold the trophies.....maybe Sophmores and Freshmen also.
