2015 NFL MVP EARLY PREDICTION THREAD

That guy Cam Newton threw 5 more touchdowns today and was very clutch, overcoming 2 sure touchdowns drops by Teddy Ginn and an incredibly poor defensive performance. Now with 32 total touchdowns, second only behind that Brady guy who has now lost 2 games in a row. The MVP appears to be superman's to lose at this point

See now I've got to give Cam a lot of credit for playing a good game when his D had a bad day..... That was his first MVP worthy game IMO this year.

Cam's supporting cast, when healthy, is absolutely terrible on offense. His supporting cast at full strength is about where Tom Brady's is right now with all of the injuries. What he has done to lead that offense is truly impressive. Yesterday was an MVP worthy game. On a day which Tom Brady looked pretty pedestrian and threw a very bad and costly INT, and a day in which AP played himself out of the MVP race, Cam took firm control on the MVP race. Right now, I have it as Cam, Dalton and then TB12. Palmer sitting at 4 and AP at 5.

Dalton has a higher completion percentage, higher average yards per pass attempt and higher QBR and Passer Rating than both Brady and Cam. Brady and Cam have accounted for more TDs however. Palmer's stats are very similar to Dalton's, however, he has more TDs. He also has significantly more passing attempts which is why the yards and TDs are higher than Dalton's.

Antonio Brown is playing his way back in the race. Honestly, if not for Vick starting those games, I think Brown may be leading this thing or at least in the top 3. Even if it had been Landry Jones I think Brown would be up there. This guy is incredible.

My top 3, in no particular order, are Brady, Palmer, Newton.

Cam has been lights out lately, Brady had a stinker yesterday and Palmer seems to be the model of consistency this season.

I wouldn't want to be the one voting, I know that!

Well, that would be interesting. Rice, Moss, and Megatron have had some pretty epic years, but a wide receiver has never won.
With a couple of defensive exceptions, its always been a QB or RB.
Except for when the kicker won in 1982, which is probably the dumbest award in the history of pro sports.

I only got into the fun after I made a relatively basic post about how the dual threat QBs are pretty much a dying breed in the NFL and people jumped on me about disrespecting Cam because he's apparently Jesus reincarnated in NC. Then I actually went and looked at his stats, saw they weren't that great aside from TDs and got into it.

At this point it's basically just fun to keep doing it and get people all riled up and mad!!! I've never said he was horrible, just not MVP material, and heck I even gave him props for the good game against the Saints when his D sucked it up. I mean his last few games he does have some FANTASTIC numbers against some HORRIBLE defenses!!! If they want to give him the MVP for going undefeated, or almost undefeated against a bunch of teams hovering around or below 500, then that's cool. To me, he's kind of like Matthew Stafford in that he can slay the bad teams, but not sure what you're gonna get in the big games. Of course, he can change my mind if he goes out and has huge games against stout teams, just haven't seen it yet.

Oh man, this is comical. Apparently it's hating if I just think he's good and I don't bow down to the feet of Newton and his MVP greatness. I think I'll keep it up just to keep making all the fans mad!!! Maybe I'll try to find some other random stats to throw out there, like maybe the defense rankings of the teams they've beaten.

I've actually watched him play 4 games this year. Did good in a few, not so great in others. His dancing is quite enjoyable and I love the way he stole that guys Packers sign and destroyed it!!! That was nice.

It's funny how that works.... If Carolina had two losses and NE was undefeated there wouldn't even be a discussion right now... Or if Carolina had even two losses I don't think it would be much of a discussion. It's the same discussion right now in CFB with Derrick Henry, because Bama is in the playoff he is a finalist and one of the two favorites.

i find it amazing how Carolina is averaging 30pts per game with their offensive roster. Their runningback has one 1000yd season in his career at 28. Their top 3 receivers are 30yrs old, 30yrs old and 33 yrs old and none of them are or have ever been stars, their 4th best reciever is a rookie. With a mediocre QB they might not have a touchdown yet this year.

Lol Brady overrated, I'm a die hard broncos fan but Tom is legit, GOAT imo. I will say though if you can get some pressure on Tom especially up the middle he seems to struggle, that could be said for pretty much everyone though.

That's your opinion boss man. If Cam was in Arizonas system throwing the ball 40+ times a game to probably the best core of WR's in the league, his numbers would be as good or better than Carsons. Palmer threw 3 (probably 4 but I'm being fair) passes that should've been picked off and were dropped tonight, he's been incredibly fortunate like that this year

I think a lot of people don't realize that it wasn't the back up that was bad, it was the 3rd string QB from San Diego's practice squad that couldn't get it done. Palmer was hurt last year and out for several games and Drew Stanton came in and did a great job as a back up, but then Drew got hurt too. That's when they called up Ryan Lindley from San Diego's practice squad. Unfortunately, Ryan wasn't prepared to play Seattle or Carolina.

I'm a Cards fan and think Palmer is having a great season, but I think Drew Stanton could get in there and do some damage. Let's hope we don't have to find out!
Also, how do you not give it to the QB of a 16-0 team?

Cam right now. Brady has had a great year especially with all the OL injuries, I mean at one point were on their fourth LT, and lately the nameless receiver squad. Cam and Panthers having wild year, undefeated at moment so going there.
