How many rounds are you going to play in 2016?

I'll have a better idea once I've recovered from my achilles surgery.
My aim is to play twice a week after that and maybe 1 range session per week as well.
Hope to start playing in March, health and weather permitting.

I've averaged about 75 rounds for the past 10 years or so, but last year I only played 6 times!!! This year isn't looking promising either. Hopefully be in the 30 - 50 range.

50 this year would be huge. Was 40 last year. I know that doesn't seem like much, but due to work and my course flooding, I played 8, 14, 12, and 22 in the previous 4 years. A good quarter of them were competitive rounds in tournaments (where I wasn't terribly successful due to my lack of play).

Health permitting I am hoping for 40+. My last 2 season have been sabotaged with either an injury or major surgery in mid- August. About 30 rounds is my highest number of rounds in a season to date.

I just joined a really nice private course, a lot of good players I think 40 scratch or better handicaps so I want to play as much as possible. Should be good for 2x a week while I coach basketball and 3x a week after that

Congrats! When my son was born I had to get rid of the country club membership (and golf completely for that matter). 9 years later I have it back. Now I just need to get him to play more.

According to the USGA probably about half that as Solo Rounds don't count...

My season is from about April to Nov. I would like to play 4 times a week, 16 per month for a grand total of 128 rounds. I am sure I can get to 100, after that it depends totally on weather.

As many as physically possible. I work at a golf course and plan on playing/practicing everyday. Because I plan on taking my PAT test around the beginning of 2017.

In 2014, I joined a private club which was a 40 minute drive from home, so I played less and it was more of an ordeal to play. This year I went back to my old semiprivate course 10 minutes away. Not only do I now play more, my hc has improved.

I found a eye doctor that told me that my macular degeneration all by itself is not causing my depth perception problem. He said that he is seeing a scar on the surface of my cornea that might be causing my depth perception problem. We are waiting on the Navy to see if they will pay for the surgery.


If it works out, I will be playing 9 days a week.

Off 3 days a week
Joining a Private Club where I can play 9 before or after work during DST
Not Married/No Kids/No Pets
3 weeks of Paid Vacation

Cons:
Promised the girlfriend at least one domestic vacation and maybe one international vacation in 2016
Have a ton of landscape to do in the backyard, currently it's just sad to look at
Need to spend way more time on the practice range and putting green to get my handicap down

At least 156 (3x/week) is my goal, maybe even 183 (every other day) if I get OCD on golfing, but no chance for 200. Counting scrambles and shambles, I think I had 110 in 2015 (101 scores in my handicap), and I only joined a neighborhood club midway through the year.

With the new handicap rules for 2016 disallowing solo rounds, those 9 hole combined rounds by myself in 45-60 minutes after work won't show up though, so I really won't have a count to know.
