Anyone have the mizuno ez forged?

I just finished locking down that these are the irons for me, replacing TM burners. I was just curious if anyone has been fitted with these before and what they thought of them so far? The jpx- ez forged

I have the first iteration of the JPX EZ Forged (the ones with the orange colour scheme). Had them a couple of years and not really looked at another set in all that time, which for me is saying something.

I was fitted into the Nippon NS Pro 1150 shafts which seem to fit my swing well. Good launch but not too high and easy to flight the ball down with knock down shots. Don't think they'll be a butter soft as Mizuno's more traditional forgings but I find them a joy to hit. I was not a fan of the colôur scheme when I first got them but it's grown on me. Top line is confidence building to look down on and partial shots with the short irons are easy to execute.

My only gripe was that Mizuno didn't offer a GW in the UK but I've since fallen in love with my Cleveland GW, SW, LW combo so that's no longer an issue.

Ok thanks, this set comes 4 to GW actually now. I was curious if you were happy with all the options at the fitting?
My decision came down to these and TM PSI but the 6 iron I was testing in the jpx is so smooth I can take the little less distance then from the psi.

I love the look of them too, a little chunkier at address than the psi but I like the colour of them.

I'm trying to remember back as to the options I had. I did the Mizuno optimiser shaft fitting and along with the Nippons I think it threw up the KBS Tours (soft stepped) and I think whatever the stock shaft was at the time. The dispersion with the NIppons was the best of the bunch so that made my decision for me. Then did the normal grip size test and lie angles. Mizuno actually cocked up the lie angles when the made them but once the realised this when the clubs were returned, rather than just bend them again the made me a completely new set so I can't fault their customer service.

I tried the ap1 as well and found that they weren't as forgiving and I could get the same distance with the ez, you could also feel they were a bit heavier though must be the tungsten but for whatever reason I hit the psi and the ez farther.

Hit the 2016 jpx ez forged yesterday and could not resist the looks, feel and performance. Ordered a new set immediately. I also hit the regular jpx ez and that was ungodly long. But the look was too chunky and offset for me to seriously game. I think the forged version is going to be one of the best in it's class.

Have a set. Iron play has been much better with these. I shouldn't be looking irons anytime soon. Look, feel and perform great. For the cold weather they seem longer then previous irons. I went with the xp115 stiff. Only thing I might have done different was go s300.

Ya I scheduled a fitting for the 23rd, pretty pumped, they look sweet with that colour too.

Have a set of the 2014 version, replaced the shafts with the KBS c taper stiff and this iron is money. Replaced my ping my ping i20's.

They feel so much smoother than my burners they're replacing, I only bought those cause they were on sale for like 400 bucks at the time, curious how much the fitting will help
