WITB : Your most consistent equipment ever!!

So StuartRS started a thread about older drivers and got me thinking about how I loved my Titleist 983E driver. So this lead to what if I had a bag of my most consistent clubs ever and what it would look like. These were the clubs that were like point and shoot. I could stand over these clubs and know in my heart/head where it was going. So over the years these were the bees knees in my bag!!! It doesn't have to be 14 clubs.

Nike Sasquatch 2 13* and 19* - Grafalloy Prolaunch Platinum Stiff 42.75 / Grafalloy Prolaunch Red Stiff 41.75

I can't have any more trust than I do in my Vapor Pro Combos! Absolutely love them. Playing with the RZN Black, but dang, wish I could still get my hands on the One Tour D. Haha. I think part of clubs being consistent is having trust in them. Growing up with Tiger in his prime, all I wanted was anything with the Swoosh. Still am that way and I'm glad to say I haven't had a problem with anything of theirs. They make some good forged irons

I grew up with that Tiger as well! Sounds cheesy but his confidence gave me confidence! If it had a swoosh I was all for it! I was the biggest nike fan boy, bless my heart!!

Yeah. I sometimes feel guilty in all Nike. Sometimes you get weird looks from other guys, but I do wish Nike would stop moving more to the "modern" side of things like Taylormade is. They just need to innovate the technology but still have some traditional looking clubs. Smh...I'm going on a rant

Had to be my Cleveland TA driver, Golfsmith persimmon 3 wood, Nicklaus N1 1-PW, Cleveland SW, and a Bullseye putter. Circa 1993 I believe.

So far, the 910D2 has been the one club I keep going back to and will never get rid of. Every other spot in the bag has changed, often.... too often.

[/quote]Thinking about this topic messed with my thoughts but my conclusion has to be the following:

Every club you have in your bag RIGHT NOW has to be the most consistent equipment ever otherwise you would have the other ones in there????

Over the years I have had some great clubs but I LOVE everyone of my clubs in my bag now even though they are getting on a bit...like me however, I just am a big believer that newer is not necessarily better when it comes to clubs. You have to love and trust each and everyone of your clubs you play ALWAYS. When you pick a club from the bag there should never be any doubt ever.

ps. I did really love my Mizzy's TP-19's (which were stolen from my brothers car).

Coming from a club ho, it's hard not changing equipment thinking there is always some better coming along. I know in my mind it shouldn't be that way, but sometimes I have difficulty controlling the urge! I feel great with my current setup, but it is ever changing and evolving so its lacking some consistency at the moment. I appreciate the wisdom, but this is more for fun! My current setup I've played for months, the clubs above I played for years. Lost my way somewhere!

Got to be my 2012 Scotty Cameron Newport 2, I've had it since they first came out, I had the loft reduced to 2.5° & changed the toe weight to a 10g & love it now, it also sits slightly open which suits my eye.

The clubs I remember playing most consistently with were a 905R / Fuji TW 74 and Mizuno MP32 Irons. Probably remembering them through rose colored spectacles but I do have fond memories of those. Could just be because both seemed like major improvements from the club's they replaced...

My driver is solid for me but always been decent at finding fairways but my 5 wood is my best club i have ever owned.

Would love to pick up another Mizuno mp-001 9 wood again , that was great from 180/200 yards.

My Taylor made jet speed driver which went in the bag early 2014 I think. Iv always been pretty good from the tee but this just made me about 20 longer to! Tempted with a aero burner but why change what's not broken.

My RBZ 3 and 4 hybrids. They were great for me from the first time I used them. I had some Tight Lies fairways at the time that were my favorites but the RBZ went farther so those went to my son and now they are his favorites
