-Jim Furyk, who qualified by winning last year at Harbour Town, will not be playing due to continuing soreness in his left wrist.

 

-This is the first time since 2005 (Vijay Singh and Tiger Woods) that the OWGR's #1 and #2 have teed it up at the Tournament of Champions.

 

WEATHER FORECAST

 

After showers Wednesday evening, the forecast calls for mostly sunny days Thursday through Sunday, with high temperatures between 80-82 degrees and breezes in the 10-20 mph range.

Actually kind of pumped for this. I've never bought in to the "wraparound" season BS, so for me the 2016 season starts now. Plus, I get live coverage in primetime, always nice.

I really miss Hawaii, it was my home for the past 6 years, I made it a point to go and play the Plantation Course after the tournament and at least a few times a year, but what I will miss the most is caddying at the Sony Open the very next week and the weather of course...thanks for the thread!!!!

Thanks OP.....I've been waiting for this thread for a few days. I think I say this every year, but I am EXTREMELY excited for this year. How 2015 ended with Spieth, Day, Rickie, DJ, Bubba, etc. This ought to be a great year. Plus we may (hopefully) get a Tiger sighting this year....

I'm excited about the 2016 TOUR season, too. It may be one of the most intriguing in recent history as Spieth, Day and McIlroy fight it out for #1, with a great support act vying for a slice of the pie.

Koepka drains a 42 footer for birdie on #2 according to shot tracker. Can anyone confirm if he is using a nike ball this week or is he still gaming a titleist?

Great start for Brooks, nice way to start with a fresh bag of new sticks. Think he is gonna ball out this year.

I did see that on the press release. Someone on here had mentioned he was going to play the titleist through the hawaii tournaments.

This is one of the best fields for this event that I can remember. Lots of top names and as already pointed out, World #1 and #2.

yeah. It's about a quarter mile hike through a steep gully from 8 tee to 8 green. I'm pretty sure they also are in a car between 5 and 6 as it's almost a half mile from 5 green to 6 tee.
