Black putter shaft?

Gents,

I was hoping for some help here.

 

I currently have a Odyssey Metal X Milled #7. Love the putter but I shortened it to 31" last season. I am now using a narrower stance and more upright posture and I think my correct length should probably be around 33". I could just extend my current shaft but I have been contemplating switching to a black shaft after rolling a putt the other day with a Works #7 Red that had a black shaft in it from the factory.

 

Do you know of any company's that offer a relatively inexpensive black putter shaft that would be compatible with my MXM7?

One option I'll throw out - when I had a black shaft out in my SC Newport 2 by Club Champion when I was in Chicago, we decided on a KBS Tour Black Nickel wedge shaft and I loved the way it worked out. Matches that black polished look of the SC Classic putters.

His problem is the #7 is a double bend shaft. Apollo makes a great black shaft, but it's straight.

This putter takes a double bend shaft, so no off the shelf black shaft is available. Those shafts are all straight. Only option is to get yours refinished or source an exact replacement and get that refinished and cut to your desired length.

Thanks guys for mentioning the heat shrink option. I bought some 5/8" 2:1 from eBay and it worked like a charm on my MXM7.
