Footjoy New Shoe - Freestyle

I am still undecided on these. I'd like them without the gigantic FJ on the side.

 

I loved the original M Projects when I need a lightweight shoe for walking and if these are supposed to more comfortable than those, I may have to give them a try.

To each his own, but these are for sure not my style. I'll stick to my DNA's and dryjoy tours....Kind of disappointed after waiting the entire month from FJ...

I have a hard time believing this is a shoe that FJ customers have been asking for. However, I would be willing to put up with the design cues if they've improved the comfort of the EVA from previous FJ models.

If they are comfortable, and work, I'd wear them. From what I've heard, they probably won't be have enough support for me.

Expensive but man they look awesome. If they are more comfortable than the project m then that also is amazing seeing hiw that was one comfortable shoe. The FJ on the side of the shoe really looks like a square that blends into the shoe it doesnt bother me.

I like them a lot. Blue and orange look like the bees knees. Will look great with my flat brinmed hat and cargo shorts.

Wow, at $200 a pair these are for someone who is a total noob in relation to golf equipment. Good thing is it makes the case for a fine pair of Eccos even more compelling.

I do like the looks of these. Comfort will be the determining factor. They fill a different niche than the Icons.

$200 is just FJ's MSRP. You can get them now online starting at $160. And I am sure you can get them for well below that.

They kind of remind me of when a 40+ year old dude shows up to the course wearing a matching brightly colored Puma outfit, and he's got a little gut hanging over the belt buckle and it just looks like he's totally unaware of himself and trying to be cool, but it just looks awkward.

The less colourful options are not too bad but I'm an Icon's kind of a guy and there is not a hope in hell you'd ever see me playing in a pair of these.

not a fan. I bet they are insanely comfortable and functional but I really wish some companies would take this "hybrid" shoe comfort and technology and incorporate it into a more traditional look.

WHY CAN'T FOOTJOY MAKE A GOOD LOOKING SHOE???? I mean seriously... awkward lines, hideous pinstriping, horribe color combinations. The only thing this shoe has going for it is the oversized FJ on the side.

 

They need to take a closer look at what their competitors are doing in the "athletic" shoe market and try to copy this style. The TW 13-14, Lunar Control 3, Adipure 360, and Speith UA shoes are great examples of what an athletic golf shoe should look like... obviously they are some of the most popular sellers as well (besdies UA, even though these would fly off shelves if released).

IF they can talk the tour guys into wearing them they will look good on TV and you'll be able to see the massive FJ on the side.

Liked the look of the white/blue spy pics we saw a while ago but I think they will get dirty too fast where I play. Might actually go with the blue/orange pair, going to call DD's to check on price.

I had high hopes for these, but they were dashed. Thick padding in the heel, replaceable spikes instead of spikeless ... Oh well.

So if you're looking for a shoe that you can roll uninhibited throughout your swing, the Freestyle might be the shoe for you. Also, the mostly white or the mostly black shoes are much more tame for the more conservative of you. It's all about choices. :-)
