Masters weekend outfit............

I'm a huge Masters fan, and its the first time i've ever done this - but i have in the last week purchased a "Masters weekend outfit' as such.

 

Augusta green Callaway Polo, matching green belt and socks and almost the same colour green glove. (I dont normally do green so had nothing in the wardrobe !)

 

I hope my playing partners that weekend appreciate my efforts, rather than breaking into fits of laughter......... :D

 

 

Anyone else going to be sporting alot of Green that weekend or during the event ?

I'll probably wear this ensemble on Masters week. The shoes are FJ MyJoys 2013 Masters edition Green Tortoise print saddles. It's really hard to get the dark green saddle to show on a photo. Enjoy wearing your Masters green! :-)

Agreed! And if your friends laugh, they would have confirmed that they know nothing about fashion. It sounds like your outfit will be super nice! Make sure to post some pics of either the outfit laid out on your bed or of you on the course.

I have white pants, but I live in San Diego, so most of the time it's shorts weather. Those are black shorts to go with the outer black lines on the chest stripe. I could wear white shorts just as easily though. Cheers! :-)

If you're going green monotone, may I suggest breaking it up with a yellow belt and cap (because green and yellow are the colors of AGNC) or a Smathers and Branson needlepoint masters belt. But I wouldn't do the monotone. If you want to do it up, I'd wear the green shirt with some nice chinos and a green hat. And if you've never been, make sure you get to Augusta once in your life, no matter what it costs. People don't really understand what they see on tv until they go. You don't see the undulation of the course.

I've been to San Diego a couple of times (once in April) and I was VERY comfortable in golf slacks. Do you just prefer shorts? I think white slacks would be sick with that outfit!!!! Especially with you rocking the white cap. Drop the black belt for this outfit and go with a white belt or a Masters belt as suggested above. You have me wanting to get a Masters outfit now.

My wife had the audacity to rib me somewhat, and call me 'gay' last night for even thinking about buying an outfit for an event i'm not even playing in ! I told her "Too late - i've already done it" !

 

But, she's a non-golfing woman. Hows she gonna understand :rolleyes:

And RookieBlue7..........i bought a putter cover from Scott Readman concepts last week, and had a couple of conversations with them about various things. Scott mentioned to me they were making a few "special' / retro style covers for Ping player Andy Sullivan inc one for the Masters, and said he'd send me some pics.

They were playing in the Western Illinois University Invitational, seven teams including SDSU. Thanks! Those are shorts. Even though we started at 6:45 this morning, it was only 50ish degrees, a Merino wool sweater vest was all I needed for outwear the first few holes. Even though I like to wear slacks in the winter time here, my rule of thumb is no slacks if it's going to be over 70 degrees by the time we're done. It was 77 degrees when we finished at 10:30 and 87 when I left the course at noon. San Diego is just a shorts kind of town. :-)
