who has tried the bi-matrix shafts?

I play mostly fujikurs shafts in my woods right now. I have the pro 70 ts in my drive. I know its tipped, but I bought it off the site and don't know how much. I'm thinking about ordering the new g driver with the pink shaft. I know its a bite off Bubba, but he's been my favorite golfer since I started playing in 2011. The first shot I seen him hit was the one in Hawaii that is famous now. I don't care about his quirks. I have some of the same traits he does in the game. I move the ball allot, and put allot of spin on it. I'm curious as to whether this shafts will fit my at this point. I want a 60 to 70 gram shaft that's pretty stiff.

I have tried the old bimatrix shafts. The original shafts were just too stiff for me. At a demo day I tried the stiff shaft and it felt like a telephone pole. I tried the regular and that was too stiff. They did not have a senior shaft for me to try. I was using stiff shafts in my clubs at that time ( speeder 757)

I picked up a couple of the old bimatrix shafts in a bundle I bought.

They were too stiff.

I would not get a bimatrix shaft until you have demoed it in the club head of choice.

I bought a G15 with a Stiff Bimatrix 2 years ago just to try out the shaft.

Yes it was too stiff for me.

But not Boardy or harsh.

Damn it was accurate.

Yes it was low, but i expected that.

It you can slam say an X flex 65 gram Ping, then try a 65 S Bimatrix in a true 10 to 10.5 head.

Well worth a try !!!

Don't forget, steel tip makes for easy reshafting in your old Glued heads!!

Played all versions of BiMatrx...

Rxi is GREAT for fairways to keep flight down & used in drivers especially with the weight

Rocket is for those needs help elevating

Prolite works GREAT in driver, but can be overpowered by those with high ss & lag

Ei70 is for the strong ones.... Great shaft vary stable

Well I definitely fit in that category. I need something just south of x stiff. I was thinking the st bi-matrix would fit the bill, but I know it's more than that.

Thanks for the post. That gives me good info. I used to play the ping X flex. Right now I play the fujikura pro 73 tour spec stiff tipped and it the best driver shaft combo I've had to date. I'm really nervous to try a new set up, but I think it's time to upgrade.

I've tried the shaft in S flex, but its been a while. I used it in a R11s and RBZ tour. Good feel and seemed work well with my somewhat "quick" tempo. Shortly after, I fell victim to the "must have $300 high end shaft" and went a different route in my R15 and M1.

It's a good solid shaft for the money.

If Bubba hadnt started playing it, it would have been long ago discontinued. To this day he's the only person I've ever seen with one in the bag.

The original was discontinued. They couldn't give them away. Likely crushed 1000's in the landfill.

I played the original in a Bang MelloYellow, a great combo I've regretted selling ever since. The current shaft is similar to the Rocket version but with a much more stable tip. Depending on how late you release your wrists, stiff is probably going to work well for you. The added plus is it is much easier to pull than a standard graphite if it doesn't work out.

I've been playing the new version from Grafalloy for nearly 2 years, have tried several other shafts to see if I could find something better, but I just keep going back to the BiMatrix. I play it in a stiff flex, currently have a lime green one in my Aeroburner TP, before that I played a white one in a Bio Cell and Bio Cell Plus, have gotten great results in all of them. I have an R15 head that Ive tried several times with different shafts, but I have not tried the BiMatrix in it, I need to, just to see what happens. They are a good by, I don't really find the new version to be overly stiff and honestly I have not found the launch to be all that low, but with reasonable swings, it gives me nice high, long, low spin drives.
